  1. After 308 days I drove my only roadworthy TR7 today . At last I dare say! https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/04/308-days.html
  2. It's a uni colour based on Topaz Orange but brighter. It is actually a pretty close match to RAL 2000 (yellow orange)
  3. As last weekend I spent some time cleaning and refurbishing parts for the ’76 car’s interior https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/03/fhc-resto-nr-159-more-interior.html
  4. Spent some time cleaning and refurbishing parts of the ’76 car’s interior https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/03/fhc-resto-nr-158-interior-refurbishing.html
  5. After a fairly long winter break, I slowly re-started on the restoration of my '76 Triumph TR7 over the weekend. https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/03/fhc-resto-nr-157-slowly-starting-again.html
  6. Seems like a textbook example of cronyism between local administrators and project developers ...

    Spit 1500 / FOX

You might find that the newly supplied gearbox mount is (much) harder compared with the original ones. So if the car is slightly more noisy that is probably the culprit. It will soften up if it gets some oil over it 🤪
  8. In that case stick to reputed brands like you use now or the likes of Bosch, Mann, Mahle or Purflux
  9. Those look rather realistic pressure values. So the oil filter might well have been the culprit. Do you have the original filter set up or a spin-on conversion?

    TR7 body kit

I'd discard or sell the body kit. It will always remain a dirt and rust trap. Added bonus is that the car will look so much cleaner without it!
  11. Today I found some time to go to the shed and trial fitting the customized GRP rear parcel shelf to the '76 car.
  12. Preparations for the rear of the interior of the '76 car. https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/12/fhc-resto-nr-156-rear-parcel-shelf-rear.html
  13. 't Kreng is direct object for my traditional TR7 calendar for the coming year. To remind me I still have a road worthy TR7, and I should use it more often in 2024! https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/12/calendar-girl-2024.html
  14. It all started 10 years ago. Looking back on the restoration of the ’76 car so far (warning: picture heavy!). https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/10/fhc-resto-nr-155-10-years-into-project.html
  15. Fitted the B-post trim and door seals to the ’76 car today https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/10/fhc-resto-nr-154-more-interior-trim.html
  16. I used the last few days of my holidays to make a start on the ’76 car’s interior https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/09/fhc-resto-nr-153-starting-on-interior.html
  17. A small step in the repairs of the DHC’s accident damage … https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/09/dhc-repairs-5-sound-deadening-removal.html
  18. Last week saw another TR7 jubilee; so this time 35 years of driving these lovely cars in 35 pictures!https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/08/35-years-of-driving-tr7s.html
  19. Collecting parts and making plans for the ’76 car’s head lining https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/08/fhc-resto-nr-152-headlining.html
  20. More small jobs on the '76 car https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/08/fhc-resto-nr-151-door-speakers.html
  21. Today I braved the sweltering heat for some unfinished business with the ’76 TR7 https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/07/fhc-resto-nr-150-finishing-touches-for.html
  22. The internals are the same. The mounting lugs are different. Extended use on cars that have only been used for shorter trips can throw up some weird problems! And sometimes they disappear, but more often they are an early warning for a more permanent failure. In your case the engine heat might have had effect on the starter. Do you have the heat shield fitted?
  23. This side of the pond (NL) putting LED bulbs in "normal" headlamp units is an MOT fail. That's why I went for the expensive option; E-marked LED units. Well pleased with their light output!
  24. Trying to divide my spare time between the repairs of the DHC and the restoration of the ’76 FHC. Time for the latter: https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/05/fhc-resto-nr-149-various-smaller-jobs.html
