It's a uni colour based on Topaz Orange but brighter. It is actually a pretty close match to RAL 2000 (yellow orange)

As last weekend I spent some time cleaning and refurbishing parts for the ’76 car’s interior https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/03/fhc-resto-nr-159-more-interior.html

After a fairly long winter break, I slowly re-started on the restoration of my '76 Triumph TR7 over the weekend. https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2024/03/fhc-resto-nr-157-slowly-starting-again.html

Seems like a textbook example of cronyism between local administrators and project developers ...

You might find that the newly supplied gearbox mount is (much) harder compared with the original ones. So if the car is slightly more noisy that is probably the culprit. It will soften up if it gets some oil over it 🤪

Those look rather realistic pressure values. So the oil filter might well have been the culprit. Do you have the original filter set up or a spin-on conversion?
-
I'd discard or sell the body kit. It will always remain a dirt and rust trap. Added bonus is that the car will look so much cleaner without it!

Today I found some time to go to the shed and trial fitting the customized GRP rear parcel shelf to the '76 car.

't Kreng is direct object for my traditional TR7 calendar for the coming year. To remind me I still have a road worthy TR7, and I should use it more often in 2024! https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/12/calendar-girl-2024.html

TR7 failing to turn over, then does…Is it the heat?!?!
Beans replied to TReslaV8's topic in Electrical
The internals are the same. The mounting lugs are different. Extended use on cars that have only been used for shorter trips can throw up some weird problems! And sometimes they disappear, but more often they are an early warning for a more permanent failure. In your case the engine heat might have had effect on the starter. Do you have the heat shield fitted? -
This side of the pond (NL) putting LED bulbs in "normal" headlamp units is an MOT fail. That's why I went for the expensive option; E-marked LED units. Well pleased with their light output!

Trying to divide my spare time between the repairs of the DHC and the restoration of the ’76 FHC. Time for the latter: https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2023/05/fhc-resto-nr-149-various-smaller-jobs.html
