  1. Thanks Ian, I have no idea what that is off, home made it looks like. The only time I have seen similar is on the engine as part of the oil cooler. A T Johnson, wow, they are still going. Many thanks anyway Ian for the link.

  3. Thanks John, The company I contacted won't make a bespoke one, only off the shelf. The fuel cooler would be an option, but this is an immaculate MK1 pi and we would like to keep it original. There is plenty in New Zealand as nearly all automatic MK1's had the oil cooler for the trans Cheers Pete

  7. Just a small question for the more technical minded. What speed should your 2.5 be travelling at in 4th gear overdrive with a 3.45 diff, 25% higher ratio gearbox and rev-counter reading 4700rpm? Reason for question is that I don't think my speedo is reading correctly with 195/60/14 tyres. The needle was pointing at my left foot 🤣

  9. I once tried that Classic brand of oil once in my 2000 and after my first run after the oil change the oil light came on first at idle then it would flicker at low speed in traffic. Needless to say I change the oil to 20/50 and never had another issue with the oil light after that.

  12. Oh it seems I have been locked out of the forum 🥺 If this reply works, thanks Nick. 1986 Fuel injected Rover Vitesse, stays below 1/2 on the temp gauge and rises to just above in heavy traffic, so sounds very reassuring 🙂
  13. ..........About an engine and after some very rich running I decided to remove the plugs from a RV8 and found what looks to me as either running far too lean or it is just right 🤔
