  1. Hi everyone, does anyone no if or when the satnav download files for the suggested route will be made availiable?
  2. Hi sorry for the late reply. yes this one was the one on ebay. It has the gt6 wide groove part number engraved onto it 308778. It looks to be a reprofiled camshaft i think. Im going to attempt to measure it up and see if it is useable.

I was hoping to keep it 2l but just try and improve torque and power a little.

Ok thank you. I was assuming it hasent got this cam. I may well be wrong though. Im going by the tech sheet on chris witors website at the moment as i havent stripped my engine yet.
  5. Could anyone tell me which cam this part number corresponds with. It is CM6116AR. Basically i want to no if this is a camshaft for the CP 150bhp engine or the CR 125bhp engine. I think i have my information right about the engines. Im not a tr driver!

    Camshafts

Im looking to do a engine rebuild on my 1973 2000 2litre. I want to try and increase the power a bit without losing drivability. I have been looking into camshafts. One that i have been looking at is from a tr6. I have been told there are 2 different power engines in tr6's. The CR version at125bhp and the CP version at150bhp. Its been suggested to me that the cam from the lower powered CR engine will work in a 2 litre engine and do what im asking.  Has anyone fitted a tr6 camshaft to a 2 litre? If someone has what was the results? I can get my engine number if needed.  Thanks in advance.
  7. I have just visited the link for the new website in the previous post. Should i be able to log in or not until it goes live? Just dont want to be trying to sort out my log in when the entry is open.
  8. Hi everyone. Quick question im sure has been answered somewhere else before. I want to add a driver to my rbrr entry. Do i just fill out another entry form with his details and send it with a note of the car i want him added to? With a cheque obviously!
  9. Hi everyone, i am posting this for a friend so hope it makes sense! I want to increase the rolling road ratio on my standard MK1 2000 manual O/D by fitting larger wheels. I was going to fit MK2 rear trailing arms and new drive shafts, but if i do will TR6 wheels fit? Does any one know if 14" Stag wheels or TR3-4 Â 15" Â 4.5J wheels will still fit with out rubbing the bodywork? Also does any one know the offsets ? as i would like to be able to fit chrome hub caps or roystyle trims. Any help would be great. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, i think id better look at fitting relays aswell.thanks for the advise, see you at the start!
  11. Thanks guys, i was going to mount them under the front bumper of my 2000. Il take it to work to try and work out where they are aimed on the mot bay. This is our first rbrr so we have been pretty busy with the cars. Thanks alot.
  12. Hi everyone,    Myself and a friend are currently preparing our cars for the rbrr. Is it worth fitting spot lights to the cars? We are going to fit uprated headlights using h4 bulbs to make normal driving at night easier but i have been told that certain sections are particularly dark. Anyone got any advice? Thanks.
  13. Thanks, can you tell me where i could get a recoil kit just in case?I have used these kits at work before but everything is metric!
  14. Thank you, i can feel a little more confident whilst doing them up now. Dont fancy having to take the arms out again after overtighting!
  15. Hello, hoping someone can help me. Im currently putting the rear suspension of my 1973 2000 back together. Does anyone no if there is a torque setting for the six nuts and studs that hold the drive shaft wheel bearing housing to the rear suspension arm? Just trying to avoid ripping the treads out the aluminium arm. thanks in advance for any help.
  16. Sorry for any confussion.im doing all the jobs i have been meaning to do for the last couple of years on my 2000. I havetaken the rear suspension, subframe and diff out. Found driveshafts need rebuilding, diff needs resealing and most of the rubber bushes need replacing. Lots of work with little spare time to do it! Hence the comment 'what have i started'! Again, sorry to confuse.
  17. Hmmm, anyone started something, stepped back for a second and said to themselves 'what hav i started?' Car is in bits, i have lots to do!
  18. Brilliant, thanks for the advice, I will get it on axle stands next weekend and make a start. thanks a lot.
  19. Im new to club triumph and the rbrr, got my 2000 i've owned for 7 years, finally have an excuse (and a garage) to get on with the ever growing list of jobs! Brakes front and rear, rear suspension overhaul, diff reseal, front suspension ball joints, heater, front inner arches. im sure theres more, just got to find the time to do it now!
  20. Hi everyone, my 2000 has developed a fairly large leak from the differential, does anyone no of a company in the south Oxfordshire area who could put new seals in it for me. I would have a go myself but have been told that getting the tightness of the pinion shaft nut wrong can make the diff very noisy and could damage it. Any help would be gratefully received as I will be taking the rear suspension and diff out of the car next month. Thanks.
