  1. Hi Wendy, I used JE pistons in my rebuild. They were light and balanced up really well 👍🏻
  2. Before spinning it on the starter, try and turn it over by hand using a large spanner/socket or adjustable on the crank pulley bolt… if the oil in the bearings has deteriorated this will help prevent any damage

  7. How very French !! Our locals contacted the Prefecture when our local Mayor said something similar… after a thorough public finances investigation the mayor was unceremoniously replaced 😆
  8. As a side, it is worth Re-torquing it after the first time it runs and then again after 500 miles or so…
  9. Speedy Cables have alway done good work for me - they can change it to electronic too, just run a single wire from the coil and it’s up n running…
  10. Mine makes 114.8 bhp on twin 40 webers and is still smooth enough to idle properly and drive normally on the road … no superchargers needed

  14. Oh I’m VERY excited !!! Get the car back from Moordale on Tuesday following some paint, prep for Castle Coombe track day on 1st May with TR Register, then prep work for the summer and the event of the year, the 10CR … I’ll try not to break my ribs, puncture my lung and have to miss it this time 😂🫣
  15. If anyone is interested, I have a fully balanced & ported 1300 engine with big valve head, fast road cams, upgraded followers and springs running on twin SUs runs very strong, ready to go, collection North London …
  16. I’ve got a pair I don’t use (I have a set of continental units off my Landy I swap over when I go) … if you are still interested I’ll dig them out and see if they are still serviceable 👍🏻
  17. Living in suburban London I think that's simply fabulous!! Set up a remote camera and watch them develop u til they fly the nest (of course the parents will probably be back for a second clutch later in the year !!
