  1. Thw V8 takes about 4.5 litres. Fill it to the marks on the dipstick.
  2. Oh the problems of running a popular event 👏😆
  3. Hi. 20:50 oil is required in a Stag V8. The 15:40 you initially added is simply too thin. I suggest you drop the whole lot out, replace the filter and refill only with 20:50. The pressure will improve with the thicker oil. Pressure at cold should be around 40 to 50psi and that will drop to 25 to 30psi when the engine is properly hot and the oil is nice and warm. With regards to the company you bought it from, they sound unprofessional. If it was me I would be thinking what else did they miss on the service! But that's probably just me. Enjoy your new acquisition Regards Bruce (Stag owner for 18 years)
  4. There are at least four, single person crews entered this year that I know of. Bruce
  5. Why not do the route in the reverse direction and we can wave at you midway
  6. I recognise that blue bonnet😎
  7. Not a good idea posting all that information together in one place on a public forum!
  8. Hi Wendy Seems a bit drastic to sell the car when you have a replacement engine available. "Better the devil you know" Regards Bruce

  10. Oh bugger, what a shame Wendy😞 Do you have a spare usable engine you could fit?
  11. Excellent. Was about to post this on behalf of a mate I think poking something in the hole to release the knob is the way to go 👍🏻 Perhaps you need to press harder if the ratchet has seized 🤔 or apply a very small amount of light oil?
  12. Hi All If another CT member kindly handed you a spare part to allow you to fix your car whilst on a CT event, would you:- A) send them a replacement part (or it's value in cash) afterwards? B) Just take it as being a gift? For clarity I am not talking about small items costing less than a tenner. Thoughts? Regards Bruce

I was doing snow doughnuts in the local B&Q store carpark with our GT6 a good few winters ago until the store manager came out and glared at me😆 I wouldn't have minded but I had been into the store to purchase something 😉

  15. Looking forward to the BR2024. Can we see the entry list yet? Regards Bruce
  16. Hi All Can any of you advise of the source of new looking washers/clips for the ends of the flap operating shafts in the heater? Or an alternative type? Thanks in anticipation Bruce
  17. That group does not currently have a coordinator. I was simply trying to be helpful by posting the FB screenshot. I can easily stop being helpful. I do know that one of the members has emailed Dale yesterday with a request to update the meeting place details in the CT mag. Bruce
  18. My understanding is that the NYSD area doesn't currently have a coordinator.
  19. Are you pleased with them Jonathan?
  20. Thanks for the positive feedback Ian
  21. My wife and son used our recently purchased Saloon to travel to Gloucester to spend New Years with my mother in-law. Being outside in almost 48 hours of continuous rain has highlighted a significant leak with the front passenger footwell turning into a paddling pool! I've removed the carpets from that area to let them dry out. At this stage I am unsure where the water is gaining entry. Over the Christmas period I replaced the drivers door and aperture seals and that footwell was dry. So I am thinking I will start by replacing the same seals on the passenger door. I am removing the dashboard and facia this weekend so that I can gain access to the defective heater unit. Once that lots out it will give me a clear view of the inside edge of the windscreen seal and surrounding metalwork. The outer side of the windscreen seal has sealant on it, so perhaps a new screen seal is the solution. Rubber ducks now on order from Amazon! Bruce
