  1. Chunkier than a standard wheel and has a bit of softness for better grip. The finger slots on the back help too.Feels great and Transforms the driving experience in my opinion.
  2. Any offers good people? Or, can split and just sell the boss, if that’s all your interested in.
  3. Hello allNow that my Sprint has gone I’ve a lovely Nardi Classic for sale. Nice patina’d condition - not perfect, it’s an 81 date stamped wheel, so shows a few scratches and scuffs which suited my car well. Original horn button and the boss to allow fitting to a post 74 Dolomite, Stag, and earlier big saloon, included. Only thing you need are some M5 button head areas to fit wheel to boss. £200 all in posted to you door in mainland Uk. Please contact via email bishop.ade@sky.com or pm Cheers, Bish

    Covid anyone?

My wife bought a vitamin d throat spray as a hopeful form of defence against COVID. Unfortunately she woke up one morning reached over to the bed side table and sprayed her spectacle cleaner in her throat instead! Don’t think the vit d, or the cleaner, helped with the COVID as she’s had it twice now and has partially lost her sense of taste and smell. Made me laugh though! 😂
  6. I most certainly will Wendy, don’t you worry! I can’t wait to escape the madness of the south east tbh. You lot up there have got it good!
  7. 15 inch Leather Mountney steering wheel boss and horn push. In excellent condition, as seen below fitted to my Sprint. Boss and horn push included. Boss is MB066 36 spline for post 74 Dolomite or Stag. May fit others? Big Saloon? Here it is fitted in my Sprint. Lovely thing with just the odd age related mark, or patina if you like, you won’t be disappointed. £79 all in, posted to your door in mainland UK.
  8. I guess it’s a case of supply and demand. There are more people out there wanting a classic these days, and only so many good cars to go around. I agree that the rising number of people wanting to own a classic has been driven partly by the plethora of tv programmes which paint a rosy picture of classic ownership, and claim that there’s money to be had by buying any old classic as an investment. Your right, times have changed. It’s good that more people are enjoying the hobby, but prices are crazy and look like they are here to stay. Triumphs are still good value, but don’t go telling everyone!
  9. I agree with Colin. This propane burner is probably the best £70 I’ve spent in a long while. https://www.toolstation.com/vortex-map-torch-pack/p71324?store=LW&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=_dt&pcrid=558571386879&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9PXD_9eE9QIVwrHtCh0OlwA8EAQYASABEgIK9_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I’ve used it on the; Sprint, house, & daily driver. Never fails to impress!
  10. Yeah I’ve seen Beans blog and it does look good. As VR has said above were gonna have to wait and see how things pan out with the virus. I would also need to bag a navigator from somewhere. I had a go at the table top rally and found that I am a dunce!
  11. Plus anywhere north of London isn’t the south east to us lot down here 😀
  12. I would love to do something in Europe with my car. I find it difficult to get the time though, so would be more interested in a weekend event, or possibly long weekend? Living in the South East as I do means that it could be easier for me to take part in a quick euro blast, than say the RBRR? I dunno, but I’d certainly be interested!
  13. I love the overdrive on my Sprint. As others have said cruising in third round the bends flicking in and out of overdrive is a joy. I also enjoy accelerating hard in forth and flicking the overdrive in which means you don’t lose revs like you would changing into fifth with a clutch. But I guess it’s not doing the overdrive any favours? I converted my MK1 Vitesse to overdrive too. Best modification you can make in my book. Worth every penny. I too thought I was going to break it somehow, and was a bit forgetful with it at first, always leaving it in at roundabouts etc. My advice is to drive it don’t be scared of it. You will get used to it! It soon becomes second nature to flick it out of overdrive when necessary. The extra MPG is most welcome of course, especially with petrol prices as they are. Just under £1.60 per litre of super unleaded round these parts now!
  14. That’s interesting Ben because I have to have some body work done to my Sprint at some point in the not too distant future. The spiralling cost of living and two daughters, both in their late teens, make sure that I am resoundingly skint at all times! I have been wondering whether I should tackle it myself, or pay a pro. The big question really though is how to fund it? I have a collection of vinyl up in the loft from the mid eighties to mid nineties. The birth of house, and then techno, jungle , dnb and everything in between. White labels and 1st pressings etc which would pay for the work on the car I’m sure, but can I sell them after all of these years?🤔 I only have one deck these days, but do enjoy dusting a choon off occasionally. Selling them, or some of them, is realistically the only way I can lay my hands on the funds required. But can I do it!? 🤔 How did you sell yours, Discogs or similar?
  15. I think it’s a great show Ben. Lots of variety, plenty to see. I haven t been for a few years but with regard to parking I pre booked space in the train station car park through the virgin website. Much cheaper than nec prices, no queue to park, and walk straight in to the show. Not sure if you can still do that but worth a look?
  16. Yep, good luck to all of you. Hope it’s as smooth as it’s possible to be. Safe journeys all 👍🏻
  17. Brown is the way forward. It’s the new grey. You mark my words !😃 I was hoping to see some pics with the smoothies fitted. Got any yet?
  18. Wow. You definitely were right about the colour. It looks fantastic! Keep up the good work with it.
