  1. Jason Team 96 is now just 2 drivers Chris Hunter and Michael Martin Cheers Chris
  2. It is/should be Conifer Green. The bottom pic from the back looks very Minty Green - this is more a trick of light with the iphone. The top pic is more accurate. garyf - yes all original panels as far as I am aware - Its was pretty rust free as a previous owner had it garaged for about 20 years. I think the garage must have been nice and dry. The only filling seems to have been a bit on the bonnet drivers side and rust wise one of the outriggers.
  3. Just to resurrect an old post of mine and update. Has it really been 2 and a half years /static/blahsmilies/shock.png The car has spent the last year going through a complete restoration. It should be ready around May - The body work and chassis were all sound but its all been stripped and re-done. It should be good for another 60 years. /static/blahsmilies/smiley.png Its going into a nice insulated - dehumidified garage so it's getting the best I can offer I've attached 2 pictures - but its so long since I posted I don't know if I've done it correctly
  4. Bill I have been told that before. However you can't see it on the photo's but on the bonnet now there is tiny holes where the green paint has gone and the primer is showing through. Maybe it has had a touch up spray in the past or some chemical has eaten in to the paint. Plus there is rust on the wing that indicates a bit of infilling so I need to sort that out. It is all pretty tidy underneath but again it could do with a strip down of the under-seal to find any nasties. Chris
  5. Thanks agin for the feedback. I'll try and post some pics at the end of this post. I saw this herald for sale about 4+ years ago. Its exact same colour and interior to my 1st car which I passed my test in the 70's I kept pushing the limits of adhesion (which is very easily found) and sadly about 6 months after being let loose on the road I pranged it into a bridge and wrote it off. Heralds become like your 1st serious girlfriend - Fondly remembered. i owe it to my 1st car to keep this one and have it looking good. Here is what she looks like. Chris
  6. Thanks for your replies I quite fancy Triumph Autoclassique if its recommended. Car is a runner Clive - thanks for invite. Too much going on this time to meet up. When do you normally meet? Ever Month? I have had it for 4+ years but it has not been garaged the past 2 so its been getting a bit of a battering. It goes in for a MOT on Monday Mark
  7. Hi I am looking at having my Herald bodywork restored and resprayed. I am East Sussex The car is a 1966 1200 saloon and mostly original and in good nick. Its at the stage in its life that it needs stripped down to find any hidden nasties on the body and underside etc. and made all shiny again. Can anyone recommend a restoration expert? Nearby would be helpful but happy to get it transported if some distance. Thanks Chris
