    I did a trial run a fortnight ago fom Pembrokeshire Wales to Hereford to pick up my co driver then up to the lake district and back to Hereford and home in my MK3 Triumph Spitfire 1300 with overdrive main roads averaging 55mph motor way 60 to 65mph and was averaging 44mpg which did surprise me. driving localy 32mpg.The rebuilt engine has certainly had a good work out 700 miles in two days and good prep for the RBRR

    My spitfire needs engine out to cure oil leak from the rear crank shaft seal before it effects the clutch so whilst out i think full inspection and poss a full strip down and rebuild

    Can i put companies advertisments on my car when entering the RBRR ? The idea is for companies to make a donation towards the chosen charity for me to advertise for them. If somebody would be so kind to let me know if this would be ok

    Hi i have removed the body of a 13/60 convertible what  ever you do don't remove it before you  sort the  chassis especially if you need to replace the rear body hanger  as you will have no datum to work from as i found out the hard way .
