  1. Also anyone know the route for the side/indicator and outer headlights. Do they come under the chassis rail or through the hole in the head lamp panel. Thanks Mike
  2. Thanks that would be a great help. Mike
  3. Hi I am rewiring the front lights on my dolomite sprint which I took apart many years ago. Can anyone tell me the route of the wiring loom for the front lights. does it go above or below the radiator. Any pics would help to. thank Mike.
  4. Hi I am interested in the gt6 manual is it still available and which mk does it cover. where about are you Thanks
  5. Thanks for the help can now put my order in and be another step closer the getting the dolomite sprint on the road. Mike
  6. Hi Clive Thanks for the reply it has been very helpful. I will probably go with 3 relays (2 for main beam 1 for headlight) with 3 separate 2mm thin wall to feed them fitted with 15amp fuses. Then use 2mm, 25amp thinwall blue/White, blue/red to keep the colour's original. I'll also run new earth in 2mm thinwall as well. Does this sound ok. Mike
  7. Hi Thanks for the reply I've seen some 30amp fused relays so will go with 2 of those one for mains and one for dipped headlights. Does anyone have any idea on wire size I thought 2mm. Electrics aren't my strong point so any advice. Thanks Mike
  8. Hi I am trying to fit headlight relays to my dolomite sprint. Does anyone know what size cable should I use? Also I was thinking 2 X 40amp 5 pin relays for for the main beam circuit as I can run a separate wire to each bulb and another 40amp 5 pin relay for the dipped headlights an again one wire to each bulb. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks Mike
  9. Thanks for the reply but I am now sorted. Mike
  10. Just a quick update and sorry for taking so long. Did the leak down test and everything came up ok except I noticed that the valve clearances were a bit tight. So readjust the valves and it now seems ok. Hope this may help someone in the future. Mike
  11. Hi Looking for a 2500s/TC air box that attaches to the carbs with flexible tube and air canister fo my 2.5 vitesse. Anyone have one for sale or know of one. Thanks Mike
  12. Thanks Rob I now have one on its way.
  13. Does anybody know what the spark plug thread is. I've been looking at the leak down testers and can only find m12 and m14 adapters and not sure if they will fit. Mike
  14. No it doesn't loose any water or use any oil. And I haven't noticed any blue some from the exhaust. How can I check if the manifold has gone porous do you take it off block up the openings and fill with water to see if it leaks or goes down. Also how do you do a leak down test Mike
  15. Thanks for the replys, test was done with open throttle. Think I'm going to have to lift the head and sort out no1 valves and check the others. Is there a way of checking for engine bore wear or broken rings while the head is off without dismantling to the pistons or are those compression figures ok. Mike
