  1. Triumph returns with radical TR25 electric sports car (msn.com)
  2. I've just seem this post and I'd like to offer some assistance too. Maybe we can sort something out...
  3. I have only just found out that Paul had passed away. I can only echo what others have already said. We had many a laugh at the P&P meetings and he also showed me some support at the West Yorkshire meetings when I was the AO. To be honest, I was surprised to hear of his death. Mid-60s is no age to die. RIP Paul. It wasn't a pleasure to have know ya, it was an absolute joy!
  4. I see this sort of thing quite often as my dashcam videos will testify. West Yorkshire is a hotbed for such numpties.
  5. I have bought a lot of the Halfords modular tray sets and yes, they do get used in anger as intended. It is my for "proper" tool set. My previous tools have been assembled piecemeal over the years. I've also invested in a couple of DeWalt cordless impacts. There's the DCF899 (AKA "The Beast") and the DCF887 which is handy for the smaller jobs.
  6. Only just seen this since I last posted. Here's the link to my channel: Parknest - YouTube Other car-related channels I'm subscribed to include Rusty Love, retrorestore, furiousdriving, Classic Britain, WatchJRGo, Mustie1, South Main Auto Repair LLC, Project Man, Pete C, Hooked on Classics, The Savage Garage, bodgit and leggit garage, Ronald Finger, Shrodingers Box, Car Wizard, Saving Salvage, DiagnoseDan, BMW Doctor, salvage rebuilds uk, Aging Wheels, Vantage Point Video Garage, Lawrie's Mechanical Marvels, Hoovie's Garage, Sarah -n- Tuned and Tavarish
  7. I met the previous owner of Steph's 1300FWD. It was literally down the road from where I live. I have my own YouTube channel which features some Dolomite content.
  8. I've only just discovered the new-look website and forum. It looks a lot better than the previous forum. Hopefully people will start coming back.
  9. Clive, you're right about the heater. I'm not so sure about the steering column. I'm faily certain that the bracket is the same. I'd need to check the parts catalogue to be certain. A HL dash loom is gonna be required at the very least in terms of the electrics.

    Exhausts

There are 2 types of exhaust and the later type is the one to get. The entire exhausts are interchangable but you can't fit a late back box to an early downpipe or vice versa. It is a 2 piece exhaust.
  11. You're not legally required to declare SORN. I assume it was registered in your name when it was taken off the road. If there has been a change of registered keeper then the new keeper MUST declare SORN. It is in a garage so you're not breaking the law by not insuring it. You do need insurance if you're taxing it though. How did you tax it without insurance?
  12. Unfortunately, Martin died last year. Where have you been hiding, Ken? It the LWT going to be a keeper this time? I must admit that I don't come on here as much as I used to. It hasn't been same since the "upgrade".
  13. Get yourself over to the TDC forum. I can always post on your behalf if you're a bit loath to join another forum.
  14. John, I meant the Triumph Dolomite Club forum. I'm not bothered about the name on the charger as long as it does the job. Sam, that's why I asked the question on here. As a moderator I didn't want to "fan the flames" over there. I've had to PM my fellow mod about the "fake news". I'm convinced that my smart charger will be fine. The only problem I've read about is the button failing in a relatively short space of time.
  15. Here it is: Has anybody heard of these type of chargers starting fires? There's been a couple of posts in my "resto" thread on the TDC forum about chargers starting fires. I've done a quick Google search and the worst that has happened is that the button stops working in a relatively short space of time. I thought that it would be the "conventional" chargers that are prone to this.
