any chance you can do a few photos of the job, I have a few diffs for my gt6 and I know one of them needs bearings so a few pics would be interesting. I note from mine that older diffs have a split pin to lock the nut while newer ones have a nylon locknut. don't know the thread without going out to check though.

hi the ignition light glowing /shimmering at idle is ok, when the engine revs to about 1200 rpm the light should go out as the alternator is accepting a charge.

hi all, ages since i have posted, the gt6 is still ongoing but stopped for now as ive ran out of space. i am also going to retire next year and move to a bigger place with space so the resto will continue at that point. the welding is all done and it will just be the major task of building up and painting and engine sort out ... and gearbox. oh! and diff, and electrics and .... ha ha. but i am really looking forward to getting on with it. just letting you all know it and me are still here anyway. ian.

hi, i am rebuilding my gt6, i am not bothered about total origonality, i feel if i can improve it so be it. my gt6 seats are goosed, and i have ready to go in some mx5 mk1 seats. now i do also own a couple of mazdas, and i find at 5`8" the seats extremely comfortable, they are also a lot cheaper than rebuilding the gt6 seats, but its each to their own isnt it.

hello hazen, just saw your video, and i must say i have lapsed in reading a lot of your blogs in earnest, but the rotisserie looks brilliant and balance point seems spot on. well done, youve fired me up a bit to make one, but i would have to clear a lot of stuff to do it. great job hazen.

hi thinking about my rear brakes on my late mk3 non rotoflex, they are the self adjust type, for those in the know is it possible to use the backplate with the manual adjusters on from an earlier car, is the brake drum the same diameter only wider as the late gt6 brakes have i believe wider shoes.

always brace it before chasis removal, and really dont chop out or weld in anything while its off the chasis. this is very important.door gaps if lost are very hard to get back.
