  1. Hi, Would anyone know where I could find a Vernier sprocket for a sprint? Piper and Kent no longer have listings for them as I am sure they used to. Thanks in advance for any info. Regards Scott New Zealand
  2. Hi, I cleaned mine by strapping it to the drum of a cement mixer with 2l petrol and about 60 small 1/4 inch bolts and let it go for about an hour. then picked the bolts out with a magnet and kept flushing it untill the petrol came out clean. Mine was in quite good condition so did not seal it but the POR15 is very good. Regards Scott.
  3. Hi, I have just discovered on of these tucked away in the L.H rear corner of this car it has failed and caused a fault in the rear L.H indicator similar to a poor earth. They are no longer available at rimmers so by removing the red wire which is the 12v feed from the light switch normal service is resumed! Regards Scott.
  4. Hi, I have resealed my front screen and can not get the trim to sit properly against the rubber at the bottom of the screen, its sticking out and there is a possibility that if the wind gets under it, it might get pulled out. its the later type with the wide trim I know in theory that area has pressure to feed the heater vent  but does not look right. Thanks for any tips. Regards Scott
  5. Hi Anthony, The measurements would be great if you could as I can then make some up myself, getting stuff of ebay to New Zealand has got really difficult lately and these look much better than the rubber ones. thanks. Regards Scott
  6. Hi, would you know how thick the buttons were that you fitted or the gap between the leaves with the new buttons in place as I am overhauling a swing spring. Thanks. Regards Scott.
  7. Hi Do  these cars have a ballast wire? as no sign of a resistor but coil measures 1.5 ohms which should be a ballast type. Asking as I am fitting electronic ignition. Thanks. Regards Scott.
  8. Hi, Thanks for your posts and comments. M is that a oil pressure reservoir or  "Accusump", they are very good have fitted them before to race cars. I got the small Ryco filter but to get the best clearance I moved the "T" piece for the front brakes by making a small 90 degree bracket and  standing it upright so that the pipe for the LH front brake comes straight out the top and rebent and shortened it to follow the suspension tower.( instead of it looping across the top of the chassis rail directly under were the filter needed to be) Now onward with all the other jobs. Thanks. Regards Scott
  9. Hi, I have got a right angle oil filter adaptor to fit  a spin on filter for a MK3 GT6, can any one tell what filter fits and do you have to move the brake line T piece to fit it in as there is not much room. I did not get a filter at the time a; to save postage to NZ and b; I don't want to be ordering a filter from the UK every time I do an oil change. Any help appreciated. Regards Scott.
  10. Hi, the rear pipe /hose fitting looks wrong because it should have a short steel/copper pipe bending around the hub and fixed to the back plate then the flexi pipe to the body, this should work as long as the hose can't get caught between upright/spring/damper in suspension travel bump to rebound. the hose convex seating face should seal in the wheel cyl the same as a normal bundy tube fitting, you only need a copper washer if there is no tapered seat ( same way a bleed nipple works). Regards Scott
