  1. Cheers Spinach. Yes, I have the 'C' and my palliative treatment has 'frozen' my fingers and toes so no more fun with my classics. Everything has to go ! 🙂 with regard to the tops, they had 'J' bolts that hook into the cv main pivot at top of B pillar and the chrome catches on top of screen. The linings were fuzzy carpet type stuff. My gloss one just looked better in my view. No idea why I ended up with two. and...yes, the vinyl stopped half way down pillar. Good luck with your hunt. Ebay can be your friend, they ran £300-500 plus <£100 for courier. last year but they shot up recently. Mine went in hours. I should have asked more? New price now 2k+ !!!
  2. Really sorry but these have sold. I have/am not too well so I'll update this now. Edited to say that I cannot edit the original post re sold. I also have two half shafts with hubs, a tonneau cover, a dynamo, a carb, a dizzy, 2 new fuel pumps (5psi natural !) Stacks of other bits and bobs including chrome trims and letters. I'll get my daughter to list them if interested. I'm not very capable atm.
  3. For sale. I have two.... don't ask ! Illness has forced me get rid of my 13/60cv and I have a raft of spares but the ones causing my wife to give me the most grief are the hardtops! Both in black, the honeybourne style is gloss, the other has a crinkle vinyl finish (and an interior light !!.) Wired that up iff you can??? Collection or you arrange courier. They charge under a ton. Priced at less than half new cost from me at £350 gloss and 300 t'other. In North Tyneside. Mainly new rubbers and all fittings included. Picture von my car of gloss and bad pics in garage of vinyl.
  4. It may be an acclaim ?? 🙂
  5. I agree with Glang, you have a loose needle! Caps off and inspect I'm afraid 🙂
  6. Concentrate on the wheel bearing. My 'wobble' on the wheel related to collapsed needle roller bearing. Get a churchill puller or a replacement half shaft...!
  7. Yes glang, just at the one point which matched the noise. I got a pair of half shafts for £70 from jjlclassics on ebay which had been in storage for 30 years. 🙂 I then replaced my bearing over a few months! Boy it was tight. There is a thread on tssc about it. Good luck.
  8. video Rotational knock.mp4 of my bearing sounds. P S I still have the churhill hub puller 🙂
  9. Sounds very much like the hub bearing to me. I had a couple of rollers collapsed! I'll hunt out my video of the resulting noise.
  10. Andy, I too am at the other end of the country, not far from yhe estate ! My 13/60 factory CV is also for sale due to health reasons. I am afraid it will be nearly 50% over your budget if you wand the hard top, spares and accessories! It has been fully refurbished but door bottoms and paint work are 6 footers:)
  11. Pete loves his little slivers! Just to add some info., my later 13/60 has the same tank as the vitesse with 5/16 pipe outlet which passes through the floor and then narrows to 1/4 pipe all the way to the carb. The hose at the junction is just tightened more on the 1/4 I had fuel starvation after a short layup and suspected the pump, so 30 quid later, new pump in place... I still had starvation!! I eventually siphoned fuel through and he ran. 🙂 great... no it wasn't.....fuel peeing out of carb! New pump pressure was 4psi. Far too much. 2 is more than enough. I then found bubbles, seen in the filter just before the pump. Found the 'loop' hose out the top of tank was letting air in. It was 5/16 and I only had 1/4 so trimmed the perished ends and refitted. Replaced old pump and all is good now 🙂 rimmers even sent me 2nd 4psi pump when I moaned.... I have therfore got a spare spare if anyone needs one. ( mind you will need a pressure regulator!!)
  12. Ok Rob. I have, on previous occasions, logged into sites who's webmaster was unaware of some malicious goings on, resulting in spam and junk emails. I'm no expert, in fact all this IT is confusing and my grandkids are trying to get me up to speed. Just thought I'd mention it.... in case. Thank you for the advise. I will get the wife to do a security check on her equipment 🙂
  13. Hi again guys. Do not want to worry you but soon after my last post above and re-registering with the site, I got a spam Email. Purported to be from my wife, who confirmed she had NOT sent it,............. The mail was subject-less and only contained a link. I of course deleted it. Thought I would make you aware... Hopefully it was just coincidental that it was just after being on line here!!!???
  14. Great improvement... very classic 🙂 not keen on 'moderns' It's been a while and my old posts are missing but I'm sure all will be found and reinstalled. Well done. St. George will be proud of you. Trying to add photo of 'plum' my 13/60 cv but not aware of URLs?
  15. Thanks Rob, yes, that E10 can eat up allsorts. Lets hope we can still obtain the E5 or develop an additive!.
