  1. I've tweaked the search engine so that should now work, see here. Fields that you can use are title, content, author, modified & created. Regards, Keith
  2. Just to clarify my position I have informed the Committee that I am standing down from running the Club's website and IT from the end of year for reasons that I won't go into here. I will not be involved in the design and specification of any replacement for these services so please advise your requirements to Clive directly. I will of course hand over the Club's data and assets to the responsible party at the appropriate time. Keith
  3. Ted, You would have received an e-mail if your e-mail address here was correct! Keith
  4. If you are a member and find that you are not shown as such then you will need to do the following- Go to your profile page (People -My Profile on the menu) Mouse over 'settings' top right You should have an option called 'Member Data', click on this and enter your details. If you get an error message when trying to view your profile please report this as an error and I'll take look. K
  5. Sorry to contradict you Tim but that's not going to happen. The last time we started the RBRR entries at 7:00pm it was initially a disaster with everything grinding to a halt and several payment details being lost due to time outs resulting in a lot work for our Treasurers sorting it out afterwards. Having a hundred plus people logged in all clicking refresh at the same time is a good way to test a server but not a good way to run an event, unless you have a ridiculous amount of extra capacity. Since the 2018 RBRR launch we have learnt a lot and refined the system as well as having extra capacity. Nowadays the system will start accepting entries at a random time in the early hours of the morning on the launch day. That way the system gets a 'soft start', in practice the event will be open for everyone when they wake up in the morning. Last time it took a couple of days for the entry list to fill up, so there's no need for everyone to be online in the first minutes. This system worked well for the 10CR launch and other events since. The system is equal and fair for everyone and enables them to get their entries in efficiently. And after all, it's analogous to the old system whereby entry would open a random time determined by your postman. Keith
  6. 24 front and 26 back is about right, you need a bit of differential between front and back to keep the handling in check. You can go higher at the back, I run 28 on my convertible. No need for tubes, the wheels are meant for tubeless tyres and are fine as long as they aren't rusty inside. 145 x 13 are the largest radial you can fit on 3.5J rims, they have a slightly smaller rolling radius than the crossplies which gives a bit of speedo overread. 4.5 rims are standard on estates, 3.5 on saloons, coupes and convertibles.
  7. Hope you all have a safe, trouble free and enjoyable run!   😀
  8. You need to look at the camber with the car laden, i.e. bums on seats. Where the car is sitting when it is empty is irrelevant, If you set it up to be negative when empty it may well be eunning on the inside of the tyres when you get in it.    Keith
  9. Glad you got home safely Sean. Like Tim I always carry a spare for the RBRR which is why I had that one kicking around. Hence that pump has already completed one RBRR, albeit in the boot of my 12/50 in 2014. Hope it manages many more as part of your Standard Ten! Cheers, Keith
  10. Crews please note- During the run the most recent entries will be displayed on the front page of the website to promote the event and encourage donations. There is a new field on your entry form called 'charity link'. If you enter the full address of your justgiving page here it will generate a 'donate' button against your entries. As will as images it should accept videos and also location data which will be displayed on the map, also on the front page. Good luck and have an enjoyable and safe run! Keith
  11. Message Diary now live by popular demand. Use the existing numbers but please DON'T PUBLISH THEM here for obvious reasons. Currently working for SMS and MMS messages. No need to register as it uses your mobile no from the entry database (which is accurate of course😉) Not working for email but a new interface for smart phone users is coming soon, drop me a pm to be involved in testing. K
  12. Ok, I think I've found the problem, you should now be able to edit your entries, let me know if not. Keith
  13. Hi James, I can't see Paul's car registered against his profile, it would need to be registered and visible to other members in the privacy settings for you to be able to select it as the car associated with the entry. Keith
  14. Hi James, If you ask Paul to log in and register his car you will then be able to select it from the drop-down when you edit your entry. K
  15. Roger, It looks like you've registered a new account rather than use your existing one so the system doesn't know that you are a member. If you log in as 'Hogie' it should work. K
  16. Ashley, You can change your crew and car details online but not change the number of crew members. To do that you need to go through Jason. The organisers specifically asked for this as the number of crew affects the total number of participants and hence affects the allocation of important Club resources like pies and breakfasts. Keith
  17. Just a reminder for potential RBRR entrants to make sure that your account is linked to your Club membership. You must be a member to enter and the system needs to know that. If you have used your existing account from the old website this should have happened automatically. If you have created a new account here then you need to go to 'settings' on your profile and use the option to access your member details. Please bear in mind that data on here has been imported from the old site so may be out of sync and out of date. This is a real headache but hopefully not for much longer. Keith
  18. Tim, Your account isn't linked to your membership here either. On the new site you should be able to do it via settings on your profile. K
  19. Just a reminder to potential RBRR entrants if you haven't already done so please read this magazine article- Sorry , link no longer available after which everything will make perfect sense. K
  20. Changing the number of crew members is a manual process that has to go through the organisers. They specifically asked for that as it affects the number of participants and hence the provisions they are providing (pies, breakfasts etc.) Besides which we have leave something for Jason to do! K
