  1. All a matter of personal choice I think. If you are not doing trackdays, but still want good road holding may be best to fit the cheaper Spax. For serious track stuff or really hard driving then follow Theos advice and fit Konis/KYB/GAZ. My own experience with both a FHC and DHC on Spax with uprated springs was OK unless I used 15" wheels and low profiles which made the cars a very harsh ride.
  2. Came along to watch, looks interesting. Will have a go at the next one if I get the axle fixed in time.  Mat, waited the otherside of the flood in case your Spit didn't make it :-)
  3. May come along to have a look, but not really keen on driving round cones.
  4. Job well done Theo, I wish I had been more thorough when I did both my FHC and DHC. When we gonna see it in UK?
  5. Beans, as ever, everything is so shiny!! I notice you have some rubber on the fresh air scoop where it fits the bulkhead, is this edge rubber, or a self adhesive foam rubber? cant quite make it out from the photo, good idea as I know mine rattles about. Ref the strut brace, I have a mate who made ten, one for his V8 and 9 to sell, they went quickly. I am trying to get him to make 10 more (minimum quantity for plating) and come up with a price. If he goes ahead I will post it up.
  6. In my experience fresh air scoop needs to be used, unless you like fumes. Robsport or S and S will have secondhand ones.
  7. Know how you feel, I have fitted windows twice in my own 2 cars, and once on a friends, did not get any easier each time! Found the easiest way was to fit windows without channel seals, lower to halfway, then feed seal in, winding up window as you feed it in, hold seal then wind down a bit, then repeat.
  8. My Eyes, My Eyes, please do not bring it to the UK when finished, puts us all to shame
  9. Are you going to weld up the seams between b post and cills, rear deck and wings, and front nose cone and front wings?
  10. How I wish I had the facilities that are available to you when I restored mine, imagine doing all that work in a small domestic garage, with only trolley jacks and axle stands, an angle grinder, small welder and low power compressor!

  12. Beans, Looking quite strong at the rear suspension area, wish mine had looked like that when I stripped them down. Can you see the state of the cill strengtheners through the inner cill holes?
