  1. I'll get round to that too. Don't like farcebook..........
  2. But my finger is nice and warm where it is!!! Garage is a bit cold  for shorts at the moment.
  3. Suppose I should really pull my finger out and have a look at the old girl soon 😉
  4. Go with Gaz's suggestion It works and no need to mess about 😉 Killed the drone at 2000 to 2500 rpm on the GT6.
  5. Good to know PMW is on the way back to the UK 🙂
  6. Just managed a quick look at the car with the laptop plugged into the megajolt, It appears that I have done the whole run in limp home mode The megajolt is reading the vacuum/map sensor OK but is getting no rpm signal, hence no pulling power wouldn't go over 3000rpm. Limp home mode is if I remember correctly 10 degrees btdc, so basicaly no advance. This would explain the lack of power from the start!! That may also explain why a Vespa scooter 2 up was pulling away from us going up one of the Italian passes much to our amusement Nothing immediatly obvious with the wiring but I need to take a proper look when I get the time (suspect a broken signal wire between the megajolt and the edis unit or a duff edis unit). I also need to dig out my compression tester to see if number 5 cylinder has suffered any terminal damage as that did not appear to be firing since about 10 km before the overnight stop in Ulm.  Every time we looked at the plugs after that there was no evidence of firing on number 5 as it was washed clean with petrol, we did try changing it out once or twice but it made no difference.
  7. It will be a little while before I find out. I did spend rather a lot of time fitting the gearbox before the run and neglected more than a few jobs that need doing round the house. I'll own up to whatever silly mistake that may have been made in the mad rush to get the gearbox in
  8. I just thought that you were always laughing at our sedate pace 😉
  9. Just got home about 11.30 pm. That was a loooong slow boring run up from Dover to Bolton but we got home in one piece 🙂 Good to see a lot of people again and make some new friends. What does not kill the GT6 will make it stronger
  10. We have made it to Dover with a spitting and farting GT6. Just popped in a new set of plugs and tweaked ghe carbs. Seems better Got to go and catch a boat.
  11. Hope to see you on Sunday in the Rolduc  Wimpus Look out for Team Shorts 🙂
  12. I know what you mean Tim but there is light at the end of the tunnel for me. Brake pads left to do and a good wash, both the car and me 🙂
  13. Please kick me out of it Idon't like it...................
  14. Gearbox sorted 😀 Just changed the exhaust manifold gasket ( lovely job 😉 ) Need to put the passenger side interior back in place and clean the car up, even my my standards it is scruffy. Still need to change engine oil and brake pads too. Almost ready, next time the car will be ready weeks  before the run. Not messing around like this again.
