    Door cards

Hello all i was just wondering if anyone had a spare drivers side door card that i could buy? the covering on ours is in good condition but the card underneath has warped and the clip holes have all decayed so half of the card pulls away from the door. Thanks as ever for your kindly digging around in draws. Cheers Camilla
  2. thanks Bill i'm going to give them a ring today. Cheers
  3. alo sorry to resurrect an old thread but our car has just passed its MOT and the rhythmic knocking is still very much there. in fact its louder. from reading it seems leaving this fault is potentially catastrophic and i would like to get it sorted for our peace of mind. can anyone recommend a garage that's good for Triumph herald in the greater Bristol area? Or even any knowledgeable forum members in the Bristol area. we don't have a garage or necessary skills to get the car up and get the hardy spicer out and replaced. Any help is welcome. Cheers Camilla
  4. yes Colin it is the vertical flange that is missing. the ply panel keeps out the engine heat but as its not flush in lets in alot of engine smells and noise. :P Thanks Camilla
  5. hello is there supposed to be a fire plate at the end of the bulk head that meets the gearbox tunnel? Ours seems to have long since eroded or gone so we've done a make shift fix with some marine plywood. Cheers Camilla.
  6. hi all, thanks again. The garage in question seems to know what they are doing as they're always working on car's from the 40's all the way through to the 70's but i will definitely have a chat about the end float as recommended by Bill. presumably if it is just excess play caused by the end float that should be relatively inexpensive to chuck on an oversized circlip? Apologies if I've misunderstood anything. Cheers
  7. Thanks everyone for the responses. i think this is a little beyond either me or my partner. We use a little garage that services classic cars but i just wondered what people thought might be a reasonable price to have the half shaft ujoint replaced? I think we had the prop shaft ujoint replaced less than a year ago. thanks again Camilla
  8. Hello All as the subject suggests our Herald has developed a(reasonably) subtle, dull, rhythmic knocking. It appears to be coming from our passenger side wheel arch area. As you can imagine it is very slow in first and more frequent as you speed up. By 30 miles an hour it seems unnoticeable but this might be because of the general engine noise etc. Any ideas what this could be and if it might be benign or malignant? Thanks as ever for your brain powers Camilla.
  9. Thanks for looking. That would be great if that would work. Is it simple to cut? How much would you like for it? Thanks again for your help. Cheers Camilla
  10. Hi All i'm not sure if this is the right place to post but i was wondering if anyone had a spare front centre, rubber bumper for a 1200 that we could buy for beer money? we have the rest of the set and just missed one on eBay as we were on holiday. Thanks for all your help. Cheers Camilla
  11. Hello I was having a look at our scruffy bonnet and thinking the root of all evil is the drivers side wing panel. Rimmers sell it for £200 but wondered if anyone knew of cheaper or has a spare for a 1962 herald 1200 we could buy? Also, is it just welded on to the bonnet top? Cheers Camilla
  12. amazing. thanks very much for your help Bill. I'm going to get the drill out this weekend. cheers Camilla
  13. hi Bill thanks very much for posting the picture.  Could you say if where i have marked the picture is correct? Sorry to be a bit dim, i just want to make sure before i start drilling holes Cheers Camilla
