  1. Keeping the CF prop will be a bit of a talking point. May have to figure out a solution! I am really impressed with the RX8 suspension (aside from bi-metallic corrosion from screwing steel bolts into an alloy hub that won't come out!!!) I am really considering one as a family car. Superb machine! I am on the look out for a Renesis 13b and 6sp box, so if you happen across a cheap one on offer on any of the rotary forums please let me know.
  2. Prop or driveshafts? Drive shafts look like they are steel, they will be cut and sleeved. I didn't know that about the Prop shaft- may pose a bit of an issue, fortunately I have a few friends I can draw on their composite experience. If it cannot be shortened then I will look for a steel one and fit adaptors at either end.
  3. 250mm taken from the centre of the subframe.
  4. I spoke to Apex rotary that suggested using a carbed manifold and making a trigger wheel (or using an older generation front pulley with a pick up) then use a megasquirt or standalone system for ignition. There was a suggestion to use an earlier fromt cover plate with a distributor drive but I feel that is a step going backwards as a strong spark (in my mind) alomg with good fuelling and oil pressure is key to longevity. If it lasts 80k miles I will be happy. Going for a 231
  5. The subframe needs to be narrowed by around 100-150mm, driveshafts sleeved and cut to length plus a new bracket fabricated to hold the diff. This is going to be powered by a 13b Renesis from the RX8 on carbs.
  6. Bit of badly repaird accident damage. Poorly repaired and paint about 1.5mm thick. Found out it used to be Saffron which is a nice surprise as I wasn't too keen on the white. If I lift the body with these sills, is the shell likely to distort?
  7. Couple of Joey questions: is the GT6 door the same as a Spitfire MK4? And which are the best autojumbles to get along to? Thanks
  8. I am in Plymouth. I tried looking in the local part of the forum for some meets but it doesn't look like there is any?? Posting some new pictures.
  9. The pics are very generous!! I will get some close-ups over the coming days. Unfortunately a house rebuild is taking priority
