  1. The wiring diagram for my 1980 California spec TR7 Spider shows a WOT (Wide Open Throttle) switch in the A/C circuit. It's purpose is to disable the A/C compressor load on the engine when full power is required. Does anyone know for sure where the WOT switch was located? It is likely it was on either the throttle pedal assembly in the foot-well, located similarly to the brake light switch, but more likely somewhere on the fuel injection throttle linkage in the engine bay. I don't see such a switch in the foot-well so must assume it was inthe engine bay somewhere. I removed the A/C at the same time I replaced the OEM engine with a Buick V6 over 20 years ago. The Buick setup does not include the high manifold temperature switch for the radiator high speed fan circuit so I depend solely on the radiator temperature switch which enables the fans to run at low speed. I want to reconnect the existing A/C on/off switch on the dash as an emergency 'high speed fans' switch. By connecting the 'high pressure' circuit, bypassing what would have been the switch on the drier the relays should connect in 'high speed' mode but that can't happen until I bypass the WOT circuit as well. I've tried using the wiring diagram in the OEM handbook but the color codes are unreadable in that area. If anyone can advise me of the correct wire color(s) for the WOT switch and also where in the engine bay harness it connected it would be very helpful. Yes, I know I could just create an additional circuit but if possible I'd prefer to use the OEM circuit by bypassing the unused switches. Thanks, in anticipation.
