just a note temp gauge didnt show hot but rad was empty but when i stopped engine was red hot but rad and hoses were cold ,

the over heat was bad i would say it all but seized the plugs look ok the smoke seems when i rev it and ease of when driving at a constant speed isnt as bad dont know whether to try valve stem seals or try to find another engine

no before overheating car was fine no smoke at all thats what made me think i may have damaged engine ,but car runs good apart from smoke

hi,thanks for reply the bores looked very good and there is no sign of engine breathing with rocker cap removed it didnt smoke before head gasket went but the smoke is a bit too severe to use as is

hi.can anyone help my toledo overheated so changed headgasket car runs good and doesnt overheat but when you ease off accelerator and back on accelerator blue smoke comes out of exhaust any help appreciated want to got to triumph meet next weekend in it.thanks pete
