Triumph TR7/8 4.5L V8 (1982)
This powerful hillclimb/Sprint car formerly owned & developed by a British hillclimb champion and class winning car. It was previously prepared by Simpson motorsport of Lydney who put mot’s on the car in 2019 & 2020. A highly desirable & valuable JE Developments (John Eales) engine is fitted, stamped #4501047 (next to dip stick) being a 4.5L TVR Tuscan challenge engine producing 350 BHP. Five speed Borg Warner gearbox via LSD, driving 17’’ light weight Image wheels with brand new Nankang AR1 tyres. Height adjustable suspension with bespoke rear 4 link trailing arm with panard rod.
This car is just finished & ready to go. TT Motor Racing of Dorset have worked through the brakes, fitted new Lumenition, coil & tuned engine. It has new engine belts, new fluids, new water pump and battery fitted. Spanner checked, wheel alignment & corner weights checked. The car weighs 1050kg.
A June 21 rolling road set up of Carbs revealed strong engine producing 350bhp. A new high pressure fuel pump and regulator were fitted. A track test at Castle Combe October 21 showed the car to be fast and handling very well.
Owing to a change of my plans this great looking car is offered for sale. It has a new MOT October 21. Much money has been recently spent getting it ready. This is a great car at £19,850 ( considerately more has been spent getting it to this point.)
