Derek Pollock Memorial Rally 2025
This year’s DPMR is run entirely within Hertfordshire on OS sheet 166 (revised 2021
or later) and starts and finishes in the south of the County.
Those familiar with these events will know what to expect but for those who don’t
a 12Car Rally is a navigational exercise in which you are given clues to help you
plot a route which you then drive. There are a number of ‘code boards’ along the
way which you need to record and that’s where the competitive element comes in
– the fewer you miss the higher you finish in the order.
There are 3 classes, Expert - for those experienced navigators who have previously
won a 12Car, Novice – for those who haven’t won but want to try competitively and
Beginner – for those new to theses events who are given a map which has the route
marked on it, so they can join in without the competitive element and get a feel
for it.
The route can be driven easily in under 3 hours at low speeds and no part of it is
timed in any way although there is an overall time limit for the whole event. The
day starts at a café where drinks and breakfast can be purchased and finishes
usually no more than four hours later at a pub where lunch can be taken if you
wish.
The ’Supplementary Regulations’ will be issued as soon as entry to the event opens
and these detail the requirements for this specific event and also give the rules
under which it is run with a Motorsport UK permit being obtained to allow us to run
legally with cover. All entrants need to obtain a free Motorsport UK RS Clubman
licence from https://www.motorsportuk.org/competitors/rs-clubman-licence/
which is very easy to do, so why not give it a go?

Club Triumph is pleased to announce that following the success of last year's event we are returning to The Kettering Park Hotel & Spa on Saturday 8th March 2025. We are hoping that the central location will encourage more of our members and their guests to attend.
The evening meal will be served from 7:30pm and the Club Awards will be presented after the meal, including those for the 2024 10CR.
