In order to be able to provide services to members and conform to GDPR regulations Club Triumph needs to hold and use certain personal data. This data will take the form of a person’s membership number, name, address, e-mail and phone details. These details will have been supplied to us by the person in question and not obtained from any third party.

The Data Controller is the Club’s Membership Secretary. The reason for collecting this information is to allow the Club to contact members for Club purposes only. These details will not be shared with any third party except our printers who print and distribute the magazine known as Club Torque and our website server provider, solely so that they may provide Club members with Club services. Club Triumph has taken all steps to ensure that both these parties are fully compliant with GDPR. Club Officers and Local Area Organisers have access to your data for the purposes of contacting you regarding Club matters and local events and shows respectively.

You have the right to see the data held by the Club and ask the Data Controller to correct any errors. This must be done in a timely manner and you must be contacted to confirm this has happened. It is possible for all members who have been verified as such on the website, to view and change their own details on the website. You have the right to request that your details are removed from the database, however this will mean you lose the right to continue to be a member of the Club and your membership will cease immediately. The Club does not require a Data Protection Officer as the information held is of a basic nature.

Details of Triumph cars owned by the member and registered under the Triumph Register will be retained for the purpose of maintaining an historical Registry of cars.

Club Triumph does not hold details of financial payments such as card numbers which are all processed securely by Stripe. Details of any other non-electronic payment means are held physically securely and will be destroyed as soon as no longer needed.

Club Triumph is based in the United Kingdom and is run by a committee of its members for its membership, there are no paid members on the Committee. Although we actively encourage members from overseas, all our rules and regulations are controlled and established in the UK.
