    11 July 2021

From Mike Biss, CSMA Boundless   I hope you are all able to accept the invite to the second event of our grass autotest season, the Grasshopper on the 11th July.    After the new field we used last month, we will be moving again to another new venue just up the road, still near Berkhamsted, but this time with a bit more room. Please see attached a set of regs.    The event will again be all forwards, but for this event, we will be running a dual permit event, so passengers (same household) are allowed in the PCA event, whilst everyone else is in the Clubmans event.   Entries are via the on-line entry form available at:-       Clubmans:      https://autotest.sapphire-solutions.co.uk/register.php?sitename=boundless&event=Grasshopper%20Autotest&type=autotest PCA:

Offers to marshal are via the on-line registration available at:-     https://autotest.sapphire-solutions.co.uk/marshalreg.php?sitename=boundless&event=Grasshopper%20Autotest     Our other events, all reverting to PCA's, will be:- Paddock on the 8th August Chiltern on the 12th September Autumn on the 10th October     Boundless by CSMA NEL - Grasshopper Autotest Regs 2021.pdf

NEW CLASSES FOR THIS SEASON We are trying out some new classes for this season, which we hope to try and stimulate more interest from those that used to do them and that we hope we can entice you back or those who haven't tried them before.   RallyRun For those that want to enjoy doing the event, but not have to plot any navigation. You can run in this class for as long as you like. RallyRun crews will not be classified in the overall standings for the event.      Navigation by marked map.   Novice For those not classified as Expert, but would like to work out the navigation, but can’t manage it all whilst doing the event due to time taken or having to be stopped whilst working it out. Navigation issued ¾hrs before start.   Semi-Expert For those not classified as Expert, but are keen to work out the navigation whilst going around the route.      Navigation issued at controls on route.   Expert Shall have won one or more class or overall awards on a permit event or won a 12 Car event, within the last three years.      Navigation issued at controls on route.     The Navigators classification will determine the class of the crew regards navigation received. Navigation will be tailored to suit the classes; RallyRun will receive a fully marked map (or high-quality colour photocopy), Experts will receive (slightly) more challenging route cards than the Semi-Experts/Novices.
