I came to a compromise on my Vitesse, with LED bulbs in my main beam lights and ran standard bulbs on dipped beam, the best of both worlds and I’d agree having had a couple of Stags behind us with all 4 headlamps on dip obviously LED was quite distracting, I recon we could have driven on side lights at times.

I'm looking for a C40L Dynamo With the profusion of Alternator conversions I'm hoping there will be one sitting 'unwanted' taking up space in someones garage!
Many Thanks

I'd agree rolling road for a road car with a standard set up seems unnecessary, I set my Vitesse with the help of colourtune and the mixture seemed spot on but on the road it ran really weak, I replaced the needles and progressively richened the mixture, running a lot better now. Need to make sure everything is tip top, I plan to give my carbs a full overhaul and my Distributor is now on its way to the "distributor doctor" .

Oops a bit late now I have Paul on the front and Nuala on the rear, but I don't suppose it will notice that much. Also, there is not enough room on the rear nearside wing of a MK3 GT6 for the charity sticker due to the filler cap, also even on the offside it's not a good fit due to the swage line. Therefore I've done the same as I have in previous RBRRs in the GT6 and put both the CT and the charity stickers on the doors, gives a similar look as the charity one is behind the CT one.
Ooops I couldn't either remember so I copied you from your FB page!!!!

Thought I'd fixed my speedo drive, only for it to break again this weekend! A digital speedo has been suggested, I had to use an app on my phone for the last RBRR as drive broke on way to the start......

Hi Tim. Thought I’d ask if still available? Thanks Derek

Only one issue (which they ignored as they know I'll fix it) - no brake lights! The switch has fallen apart.
My brake light switch is tied on with string, like that when I got the car - I’m leaving well alone 🙂

I’m assuming we will all have boots full of spares - but we can’t carry everything- In my Vitesse boot I’m carrying a fan belt, spare hoses, a selection of exhaust clamps and jubilee clips, oil and water, bulbs, fuses, points, plugs etc spare radiator cap and thermostat, rad weld naturally , repair kits for fuel pump oh and a set of wheel bearings. What have I forgotten?
I still have sealed beam headlights feel I should replace these too…. -
I'm only getting around 24 mpg on a run in my VItesse ( Round trip to drivers meet) - running a little rich perhaps but apart from that seems in good tune - I'm happy but would be happier at 28! 🙃 Any thoughts?
An oil change and a squirt of Penrite Semi Fluid Grease in the Trunnions next weekend and I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

My Vitesse (Team 93) is up and running after being taken off the road in 1982 = trying to get enough miles on her to see what breaks/perishes - stranded on the A31 on Monday luckily I had plenty of spares - quick change of a condenser and I was on my way - decision to be made do I fit electronic ignition???

Hi Tim So how many cars are we currently expecting to start the RBRR?
Cheers
Derek
Did the price of spares just jump up?
