So might very well be that there 's no problem!? Get the car on the road and enjoy it 😉
Oh no, there is definitely a problem! The two times I have driven it, (all of 12kms in total), there is just nothing there in the brake department, scary! Will investigate it some more, something is amiss!?

How's the pedal feel; firm/spongy/... ?
Not too bad from memory - still not being driven
-
That's correct Beans, along with braided lines. Basically it just doesn't feel like the brakes are doing anything and it's the loss of momentum slowly stopping it. Quite likely the original servo isn't performing so if having to mess with that I may as well upgrade.

Have decided I need to get my heap finished before I can decide it's fate so need to get it to stop better.
First up is upgrading the brake servo, what are people using?
Anyone tried a Rover SD1 unit?
Cheers. -

beans wrote:You could adapt and fit a complete back axle from another car, that's fitted with a LSD as standard.
Might be feasible, but a fair amount of work. And as Benzo already stated it might well be cheaper to just fit an of shelf unit in your current axle.
Nissan Skyline and HSV axles are popular fitments over here. As Beans says, you have to get all the correct mounting points/brackets etc welded on.

That indeed is the striping I am copying 😎
But I'll use the striping only, so no chequered edges or black roof
Good! 🙂

I don't know, in the background of one of his 'shed' pics there's a couple more shells there to work on, (yellow one in back corner!)

Superb effort Theo; tho preferred the look of the Revolution 5-spokes!

Once again, great work Theo, looking sweet!

Looks good Beans, even though it is a DHC! 😉

Still loving your work Beans 😎

Looking good Beans, got the 'KERMIT' number plates set aside for it! 😉

Love your work Beans, your car is coming along very nicely! (clap)
With the bumpers, did you just have them painted as you mention they were 'coated' !? -

And as you can see no rust in the front screen frame ...
Good effort getting the screen out, looks a tricky job! I was lucky with mine, it was taken out when it had the cage fitted - still got to get it back in though 🤔
