Revington TR & Rimmers sell replacement inlet and unhardened or hardened exhaust seats for these heads. I have one it definitly has inserts in both inlet and exhaust. You can hang a fingernail on them all. Even the stock exhaust insert is pretty hard material anyway did a file test on it. Late PI TR Heads do not have these inserts.

I have a changer that was too cheap not to buy £40 brand new. She is worth that second hand any day of the week. It is Rawl bolded to the workshop floor. The tyre iron is a bit pants so I bought a heavy duty one suitable for alloys also a good set of 3 ft tyre levers. Also got a full size bucket of soap, brushs, a good tub of soloution and a box of proper patches. Not that I have used her much.

What do you feel about the geometry changes and change in suspension leverage ratio that trunnionless brings?

Don't see it as a big problem Nick

Mostly seen broken at the very end of the thread even on very fresh ones. Go trunnionless.

Toyota Has Modified A GR Yaris Engine To Run On Hydrogen For Endurance Racing | Carscoops

EFI works perfectly on hydrogen. Years ago BMW took two consecutive identical cars off the assembly line. One they converted to hydrogen with little more than a tank change. These two cars were put out to the press including Top Gear who did a spot on them. The hydrogen car came out on top.

Hardly likely. Even now dead electric cars are becoming a HUGE problem. Even the Chinese or the Indians DO NOT WANT THE BATTERIES as nothing can be done with them. Hydrogen is the answer. The internal combustion engine runs better on hydrogen than it does on petrol. Emissions, WATER.
Just to add to that. How long do you think governments are going to permit electric car users EVADING ROAD DUTY ? With hydrogen, road duty can be collected easily JUST AS IT IS NOW.

But I'm hoping infernal combustion engines will be banned before then

Beans, that looks lovely, a car that will be seen from miles away!
Bit offensive that, implying it is best seen from miles away 😁

My regulator is original from 1968 and still working fine (73000 miles) plus as Iain says, after Trumps bombs have gone off it'll carry on while you alternator guys will be pushing your cars😁
That is the spirit Jinx yourself. 😬
inlet valve seats

They are actually quite hard to identify, this is because they were installed before any head machining. meaning they sit completly flush in the chamber top, you cannot see them. The ony way to identify these seats is to run a finger nail inside the port ( even after porting inlets ). Retro fitted exhaust seats are normally fairly easily seen because they are machined seperate to the head meaning not exactly perfectly level with the top surface of the chamber.
