  2. I drove the car round bylton track, and found it great fun very good around the bends and very good on straight line speed just needed higher rated springs and brakes sorting, I would say better then my gt6 on power not sure yet weather my gt6 would go around bends faster.

    Rolling road bhp is 275 ish weight of the is around 850 to 950 kgs Ian did have the car weighted but I can't think what he told but I will ask again.

    I would say that it could be one of the faster gt6's about until my gt6 comes back out.

    I'm just doing the basic bits for mot guy and keeping the rest as it is, should be fun to drive.

    Keeping  the wheels for track days and my other tr7's.

    Yes i got this car off ebay a few months ago, the aim is to give a mot which i'm working on at the mo.

    I think 15" rim would look better in the same style but with a deep dish, i once saw some on another tr7 with a deep dish.

    format ,  open pits policy, run what you brung etc.

    The whole day costs, £149 but we can get an ‘extended’ Early Bird discount to £129 if we confirm numbers soon.
    Second drivers are £20 and if anyone wants to come along and watch, but not drive on track, then it’s £5.

    As for fitting EFI on your car you may feel like others you just want to see triple webbers under the bonnet and listen to the fantastic induction roar they give. The only down side I can hear with EFI is a muted induction noise  :-/

    But you should take advice from some of the chaps on here a lot of them have a great deal of good advice to give you. But listen less so to the zealous people who will try and scare you with over inflated costs of fitting webber carbs. They are not easy things to setup right but once done they are the dogs for a sweet induction noise and do give the best from a well sorted engine.

    As for MPG come on if MPG is such a major thing for owners of old cars then get rid and buy something modern sad if MPG worries you so much in driving your classic car. The last thing that you should be looking at on a fantastic run out on a stunning road with great views is your blooming petrol gauge ;D

    These people will always push EFI as they have built their whole thing on EFI and push everything a side that is not EFI.

    But just remember it's your car your money and your life and you need to do and live it the way that makes you happy with your car  ;)

    Oh and if you have the money to spare then spend it how you want not how others would want you to :)

    Now just read the replies to my reply  ;) and make your own mind up you will get great help on this forum for which ever way you go on your car. ;)

    Me well I now have a Pi setup for my car but I also now have a set some Italian webber/dellorto carbs  :o not sure what will end up on my car but the carbs are less work to fit but require a bit more once fitted :-/

    Just look at the picture below I took at Prescott of a Vitesse fitted with such carbs what a sight hey.


    This guy says it all, he's bang on, if you want mpg buy new diesel car if you want to be happy stick to this rule the more fuel it user and the faster it get there the bigger the smile.

    this weekend i went and got my self lotus carlton i am so happy now that i have twin turbos and blow off every car around lol yes the fuel goes but you only live once. live the dream

  8. I used webers for years now no isue at all easy to tune and set lots power good on fuel unless you want to go fast and then they use every drop of fuel very fast, you would need tr6 take off for heater and chop it down abit.
