  1. This would be easy if there was a part number on there. But there isn't. I can see "stanpart" stamped on it, and a place where I think the part number would have been but looks suspiciously like it's been ground off on purpose. All that remains is an MC number - but that's no use, or is it?

Physically it looks almost identical the same as the other one I have, which is clearly stamped 311399 so we know what that's from (http://www.chriswitor.co.uk/cw_technical/camshaft_applications.pdf).

Is there another way to ID this orphan camshaft please?

  3. I don't bother with "energy" drinks. If I'm awake I'm driving or navigating and if not I want to sleep. I don't want to not sleep because of any noxious substances in my system. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is. I can rarely sleep the first night out of sheer excitement!

1 packet of crisps on Friday
1 rasher of bacon and a fried egg at JOG
1 motorway sarnie and a pork pie at Lancaster
    Small brekkie at Scorrier
Piece of cake (Victoria sponge) at Pimperne
4 or 5 cups of coffee otherwise.

    Umm, a healthy diet!
No wonder you kept having to stop to sleep, your body was hungry and shutting down! I scoffed a huge breakfast of cereal, tea, toast, full English at JOG and same again at Scorrier. Other than that though I think it was tea, crisps and cake; less ideal. Would love a huge plate of food about Lancaster. In fact one year I recall eating a big meal there in the services at vast expence!
