  1. It says "MC 243 33" on it. Is it early TR6?

  3. This would be easy if there was a part number on there. But there isn't. I can see "stanpart" stamped on it, and a place where I think the part number would have been but looks suspiciously like it's been ground off on purpose. All that remains is an MC number - but that's no use, or is it? Physically it looks almost identical the same as the other one I have, which is clearly stamped 311399 so we know what that's from (http://www.chriswitor.co.uk/cw_technical/camshaft_applications.pdf). Is there another way to ID this orphan camshaft please?

  5. I don't bother with "energy" drinks. If I'm awake I'm driving or navigating and if not I want to sleep. I don't want to not sleep because of any noxious substances in my system. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is. I can rarely sleep the first night out of sheer excitement!

Umm, a healthy diet!No wonder you kept having to stop to sleep, your body was hungry and shutting down! I scoffed a huge breakfast of cereal, tea, toast, full English at JOG and same again at Scorrier. Other than that though I think it was tea, crisps and cake; less ideal. Would love a huge plate of food about Lancaster. In fact one year I recall eating a big meal there in the services at vast expence!
  7. Martin The AA route finder reckons on 2.5 hours from our place to the pub, presumably at 60mph. Assuming we actually travel a bit slower, would you like to go in convoy, meeting somewhere logical? Our route is A650 out of Bfd, M62, A1, B668, A606, A6003, B664. Barry
