Just wonder how many litres of juice should fit in a Spitty tank, 1979 1500 if it makes any difference as I filled up early from the gauge reading empty and it was full on 27 litres?

How long is a piece of string, depend if you are using new, used, reconned , OE or cheap copy parts. budget anywhere between £100 to £10k.
As for devaluing the car it depends on what the buyer wants  doesn't want.

A Dolomite pump will fit and work, plenty if used ones about.

I was wondering the same myself as it does look wrong and if I put the roof up with the windows up the flap sits outside which means you then can't get the doors open.

Well at least I think that's what the plastic shield were for but I couldn't work out how they fitted and seeing your pics they might not be for the spit, I will get some pics of the plastic bits this week although the Ebay ones look a good bet.

Yes ferny the large black plastic splash guards, I won't be taking the car out in bad weather so getting the coil and ignition wet shouldn't be a problem.

I have just rebuilt the hubs on my Spit and because didn't fit a water guard because it seems no one stocks them.

With the three wire alternator as found on  most 70s cars  one wire goes to battery. One to ignition and other to ign warning  light.

It is the gearbox cover I need not the carpet.

Hi folks I am after a gearbox cover and a pair of seats for my spit 1500. Colour  and condition not important but the nearer to Southampton the better.

Cars first used before 31st March 1987 yes 1987 do not require rear belts but if they are fitted must comply to MOT standards.

Most car accessorily shops will stock the 038 or 015.

I'm not new to Triumphs having owned many Dollys and FWD's but toady saw me acquiring a spit 1500 V reg,  it  was mid way through a 'restro' but the drivers side hub etc. are missing and as far as I can work out I need Vertical Link, stub axle,  lower ball joint (is this the steering link/) and all the nuts/ bolts and of course the bearings. Can someone please post an exploded pic of those parts so I know what I'm looking for.
yes I could take off the other wheel to compare but I won't see the car again until Tuesday and can't wait that long.
