  1. Thanks for the replies . I did consider taking off the sill covers just to see what was underneath but I guess common sense should prevail . Shame , as I quite like the kit
  2. I am currently restoring a TR7 convertible with an extensive welding schedule . The car has a body kit fitted with spoilers and wheel arch additions. Where the body kit meets the lip of the wheel arches there is a gap all along the arch which holds mud and rust has started. I was going to treat the rust and then seal the join between arch and the kit with glass fibre . Anyone got any better ideas ? Best wishes Nick
  3. Thanks Howard - that is really helpful . Sadly , I have realised the left hand side also has been subject to a huge plate and filler effort . Best wishes Nick
  4. I have just removed a metal plate and copious filler from the bulkhead behind the passenger seats in a TR7 convertible . Having recovered from the shock , my next problem is that I have no reference to use to make repair sections . Does anyone have or be willing to take a picture of what the bulkhead should look like . I can work out the top part but the bottom section appears to have a pressed recess but I have no idea what shape it is or how big . Any help , advice would be greatly appreciated . Best wishes and thanks Nick
  5. Hello - I am about to replace the rear lower sill panel on my TR7 and was wondering/ hoping that someone has experience of this job. I can see that if I cut the 4 edges joining the panel to the inner sill , I can fit the panel but was wondering how I then weld the top edge to the edge of the inner sill - I can't get a torch into plug weld so I am slightly puzzled . Any help , advice much appreciated . Best wishes and thanks Nick
