Hello folls, bought new solenoid as spitfire wasn't turning over, unfortunately I disconnected everything and not kept note of what goes where! Embarrassing I know but what can you do????
Anyone help an amateur out?

I've heard about MX5 seats being chucked into spitfires but does anyone know what year MX5 I'd need to be looking for and anything else needed, rails etc..?
Any advice appreciated

Bugger doesn't start much and when last did lumpy as fook. Last place who stung me appear to have amended my choke so is constantly on full blast. Place before that "helped" by readjusting carbs to help pass emmissions. In short, everyone has twisted and turned everything. 😞

I'm in dire need of someone who can help me out with getting a 1976 Spit 1500 up and running. Everywhere I take it I get ripped off for a grand here, 2 grand there and never ends up running. Please can anyone point me tk someone in Manchester/North West who knows how to setup carbs on an old car?
Anyone Manchester way

Hi Spam
I'm just down road from you in Oldham. I had it in a garage last year and had loads done to it new coil fuel pump and brakes and other bits, cost me a fortune but was never "right". Choke wouldn't come out any etc.. so assume they did some fannying around with that rather than adjust carbs 😞
Wouldn't start and as left for few weeks without trying not turning over so bought new solenoid but I am so daft I don't know which wires for what.
I "think" needs carbs adjusting. Am dying to get this thing on road as just gonna rot otherwise.
Like I say, not expecting someone to come and fix it up for nowt, sick of gettinv ripped off by clown garages who don't know owt without computer chip though!
