  1. Hi Tim Yeah that was pretty much the kind of answer I was expecting it was never going to be cheap however I'm still holding out hope. I'd obviously heard that insurance premiums were increasing massively in general so wouldn't be too surprised if a quote given was astronomically high. I would love to have a car that I can take pride In and really call my own sort of thing and I've always loved Triumphs. My dad had a Spitfire Mk2 back in the day and I've wanted one ever since. Thanks for the reply it was very useful. Hope to be able to report of a reasonable quote one of these days 🤞
  2. Hi all was just wondering if anybody could shed some light on insurance prices for a 17 year old looking for a classic triumph. I've always pined over triumphs and would love to try and get one as my first car. However I am not yet 17 and so am unable to get quotes. The reason I'm asking now is that the plan is to try and buy a classic that needs some work doing to it and then get it up and running for when I pass my test. However there is no point me buying a car that turns out to be too expensive for me to insure. I have been looking at Herald 1200 saloons, Dolomite/Toledo 1300s and Spitfire 1300s( Spitfires being extremely unlikely). So was just wondering if anyone knew sort of average cost of insuring these cars for a 17 year old new driver. Thanks Albert
