The driver was okay. He said he could smell fuel before it caught fire. Suspect it was fuel line as the damage to the bonnet is concentrated on the carb side. I guess he was fortunate it happened on the track, so had a fire crew on hand to put it out. If it had happened anywhere else, he would have lost the whole car?
