That's a great turnout, the most we've ever had, only a few places left so if you want to come on a great weekend of driving and socialising with fellow petrol heads you'd better be quick!

For anyone not having read the latest edition of Club Torque, its 400miles of the best and quietest roads the north has to offer.

Starting in Kelbrook Lancs, overnighting in the Scottish borders town of Kelso and finishing in York on the Sunday. We've organised some accommodation, an evening meal together in Kelso, a great route and Martin will be sorting the weather.

Speaking of which, we will be presenting a new trophy/award for the spirit of the rally which will be known as The Martin Randle Cup.

There's now a dedicated Border Raiders page on the website under Competitions and in the events section. The regs are also attached there.

Any questions, pm me and I'll get back to you as soon as etc.

    OST Booked
I presume that`s still the base?

Hang fire! We are still crunching through all the options re start, overnight halt and finish. All depends on accommodation availability and route.
Our accommodation officier is on it!!

  5. The inaugural committee meeting of the Borders Raiders 2018 was held last night in a secret venue, actually I'm not sure where we were but it was in Yorkshire and the food was good!
Still lots to sort but the dates will be 4-5 August 2018
So please put it in your diaries and let us know here if you want to join us driving some great roads up north.
Route still to be decided but we will be heading north of a Lancashire/Yorkshire start into the northern provinces.

More details in due course including regs etc but "confirmed are"

  6. Glad you enjoyed it Pete, there were a few things that we'll do better next year. Makes me realise just what a great job Martin did (as if I needed reminding).
Didn't realise that about the OST, not good and as for the MSA...
We'll keep Martin's legacy alive and well with the 2018 event and look forward to seeing everyone again for another raid

        Quoted from AAC567X
Apologies to everyone who was promised that a picture of their car would appear today. I was contacted by a senior committee member and asked to shrink the pictures so that they didn't do odd things to the thread. Unfortunately, when I attempt to do that the quality suffers to the point where the images are almost indecipherable. I'll keep working on it. Otherwise, if there are any G.I.M.P. experts out there who could offer tips....

    http://www.shrinkpictures.com/.....select file/25%/best then attach

David, probably best to put them on the shared photo album that Mik set up
