I enjoyed the weekend, we just were unlucky in that our usual route on M42 was closed at junction 6 exit for a bridge demolition  so we had to go further down the m6 onto the A46 and there was an accident  with 2 Lorries and a car just before the Stoneleigh turn off causing a 10 mile tailback on the Saturday, just purely bad luck

I think the complaints were about traffic on Sunday morning. We were heading towards Coventry in the opposite direction to you and saw the queues, I sympathise.

  2. I’ve seen lots of moans and grumbles about this event. Its location means that there will be queues at busy times but we didn’t experience any issues with traffic, parking or the perceived lack of marshals.
Some people just look for things to complain about.

  4. I have just renewed my Green Flag breakdown cover. Just like last year the renewal price had increased and just like last year I checked the website price. Both times about £17 less than the renewal letter. After a telephone call they again matched the website price.
Probably worth checking if you have Green Flag.

Not very good with the copy and paste thing Pete Arnold, sorry to hear about that. Not sure that it is your stomach in the photograph....

Glad you are both home safely anyway, I will let you and Mary know how the train thing goes.

And those cooling systems had a lot to cope with last weekend, the GT6 much hotter than usual on the M18.

there you go, worked out how to do the copy/paste/quote thing

  7. I have had EBC green stuff pads for many years, on the second set. Never had a problem "coming off of Dartmoor" but I did once experience a severe fade at the bottom of Porlock Hill. Not the Alps but pretty steep.
