  1. Hi - Has any of you come across spring-loaded pushrod tube replacements for a Triumph Herald 1200 saloon?
  2. Hi All I am having trouble with an oil leak on my Herald 1200, which seems to be from the rocker box. I tried replacing the seal once already, but with no joy. I've read posts on how to do this properly.. So I'm pondering replacing it with one of those shiny alloy ones. I spoke to Rimmers and the one they insist is the right part has a side tube; mine does not have a side tube. So what do I do with the tube outlet? Or are they wrong about the part? I don't seen any other part options... https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID005147 Thanks for your help...
  3. Hi I'm new here - just recently bought a 1967 Herald 1200. Can anyone guide me on tyre pressures? I came to realise that the original spec was for tyres of the times... And tyres have changed! We now use tubeless tyres on modern cars... ad modern tyres are all that's available now (undoubtedly a good thing I'd imagine). But the rims of our old Heralds are not like those on modern cars, and it seems that the most common advice is to fit a tube. Which is ok with the right quality of tyre that won't chafe the tube.. How am I doing so far? But then, what tyre pressures should I use to inflate these modern radials.. with tubes...? The old spec (19 psi front and 24 rear) is clearly too soft - so I have used to 24 psi front and 26 psi rear.  The tyres are 145 SR13. What do you do?
  4. Hi I don't know what 'In The Shed' refers to, but took a guess it might be logged-in members. I've just joined, live in South Hertfordshire and have a late model Triumph Herald 1200. I was attracted by the advertising blurb that says 'Club shop & Spares'. Where are spares to be found here?  Also interested to ask about members experience securing carpets on refit... mine are rather loose, which I have seen a lot of examples of. Surely someone here must know how to fit hem properly? Where do I post that? on the Local cub page, on here.. where? Really could do with finding a new users guide to the site.  Cheers folks Rick
