Ooops , sorry its the 948, centre lifting handle. There is a man on another site who has 2 but will only sell them as a job lot . The idea is to find someone who wants the other one. These are NOS and in perfect condition . I don`t know anything about price yet , any takers.

A pal of mine is buying a pair of new bonnet handles , he only wants one , any good to anyone.
-
The battery looks like it is in the wrong place(as standard) , but is there a practical reason for moving it .
-
How about a Le Mans vent.

Compression test and colour tune and static timing of 13 deg before top dead centre. Check both valves on number one cylinder are closed, the tappets click . turn the engine over with number one plug out ,is the rotor arm coming up to the number one plug lead position on the dizzy . if it points to number 4 then the drive gear under the dizzy is in 180 deg out. good luck.

Wot fuel pump, I have to clean mine (mechanical) out once or twice a year.

Thanks Nick .I got the master cylinder from Mev spares ,south London ish . It looks the same as a normal one ,he might
have ment its the same bore as a TR6. I was looking for a bigger capacity for a different job that I didn't need in the end . -
I am fitting GT6 Discs , callipers , bearings, and rear drums . I have a TR6 master cylinder do I need it to power this bigger brake set up . Being fitted to a 75 mkiv Spit.

Is this post to do with thrust bearings . Is it just push and pull or is it mileage based. http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/ThrustWashers/TWLube4.jpg

I have a T2000 tank that looks the right scale of a thing . Mount neck on the side and close up the filler .

This is my mobile face book site.

Thanks for that Paul , I know a very good blacksmith who I think can cut and reshape the spring and heat and quench the end again . What clearance is standard on the front suspension(top of wheel to arch).
-
My car has a T2000 engine and overdrive box mounted with the front face the same as a 4 cyl . So the right spring is a suck it and see operation. The T2000 spring is stiffer than the std spit spring but both are 40 years old. How would you shorten a spring ,my guess is heat the cut end and reshape. Part of the problem is I don't know what I need so how can I buy it.
-
T2000 spring fitted with new shock. this gives good clearance 2" plus. I will leave this for now and fit a new rear spring ,
-
Measured a std spring it is .430"(7/16"ish) shock is out of the car and stripped ,new spring in soon.
-
On the thread above , T2000 rear springs are mentioned , wot rate is std T2000 springs.
-
Sorry , link no longer available
-
I was wrong ,did a bit of measuring, the GT6 spring I got is 9" long and the T2000 rear spring is 12 1/2" long and is .580 dia wire. So wot is the standard wire dia of a Spit spring .
