Should be sealed beam but may have been changed in the past, yes the same as Minis as is the headlight bowl and rim.

I only use Payen, check on Ebay they often appear there.

did you check  dizzy cap and that you had a spark from the HT leads onto the plugs , have you changed the points and condenser?

I would fit a thermostat switch so it comes on at a set temp, you say the car doesn't overheat but it might be getting too hot.

Cut a hole in the gearbox tunnel then fit a plate over the top with self taper so next time you have to bleed the clutch or fiddle with the slave its a 10 minute job.

Have a look on the TDC forum someone on there will be able to tell you where to cut to get it perfect.

Your local car accessory shop should have one, hell even Halfords sell them or canleys, Mick Dolphin, Rarebits4classics. just make sure you get one with a non return valve.

With a car cover you need to take if off at least once a week to let it air and get rid of the damp that condenses inside the cover so in my mind all but the most expensive covers are a waste of time, I have just purchased a half cover for the spit but only to keep the rain from getting into the cabin.
