Hi all, wonder if you might be able to help. I have a 1971 original engine manual Stag The choke cable snapped on my Stag a few months ago and I have only just go around to fitting the new one but I have come across a problem. It seems the old cable that was a two cable type had been modified and one of the cables has been cut off leaving only one cable. The cable attaches to the carburettor on the drivers side to move that choke, it then has an extension cable that runs from that carburettor to the carburettor on the passenger side, this seemed to work fine until it snapped. What I need to know is is this normal fitment or has it been modified as it seems well done and factory. I have a new cable, the normal two cable type but need to know do both cables come out in the same place in the bulkhead or do they come out in different areas?. Is anyone able to explain what areas they come out from, I know one but not the other. Sorry to be long winded but it’s the only way I could explain. Thanks everyone, Paul
