I was hoping that was the case. Thanks. I was worried about ringing them off and left with a pile of scrap.

I'm trying to take the rear spring apart to clean it up and fit the buttons. The 4 bolts along the bottom in the u clamps will ring off and the sleeve on them is in bad shape. Can you not buy these parts? I've tried a couple of places and they say you have to buy the whole spring. The first is about to ring but I haven't it off yet, but am I correct in saying its just a sleeve with a bolt through it and I possibly could source it from a fastner place.

I rebuilt the calipers on a mk3 spitfire. I got the rebuild kits from rimmer bros. I thought I had achieved a fairly good job but the springs that hold the dust cover on are too short and pucker the cover which would let dirt and water in. I've contacted rimmer bros who can't do anything. I've now waited 5 weeks and contacted them 4 times, they agree its a problem but can't find a solution apart from refund me. So I'm stuck. I got 2 of the old clips which sorted one side but I've none for the other. Can someone please help and tell me where I can get bigger clips or sell me some or tell me where I can go from here. I recently refurbished brake calipers for a mk3 spitfire. The new springs I got with the kit are too small or short. Does anyone have any they could sell me off an an old seized caliper or something. Its pinching the seal and will allow dirt in.
