  1. hello, is the boot luggage rack still available? I'd be interested in it if it is. Thank you
  2. I’m selling a herald 1200 dynamo and control box, they’re both brand new and only been in the car for one drive then swapped out for an alternator. The dynamo was £100 brand new so looking for about £75-80 and the control box around £20. Open to offers as I’m new at selling some of the stuff I don’t need so I’m not very familiar with prices. Thanks
  3. It’s the part on the right side of the engine, not sure if a 1300 manifold would fit though.
  4. Hello, I'm looking for a carburettor manifold for my triumph herald 1200, mine is using a 948 manifold on a 1200 engine which is fine for the mean time but would prefer the proper one. if anybody has one in useable condition, that would be great. thanks
  5. That’s an idea I think I’m going to go with, someone else said pretty much the same thing so that’s probably what I’m going to do. Thanks mike
  6. Hi everyone I’ve got an electric window washer pump and was wondering how I would go about fitting it, mainly with how it’s going to function, I was wondering if I could get a 3 way switch so it has an off position, wipers position and washer and wipers position, similar to the one I have now but instead of pushing it in it just has another turn position. Sorry if that sounds like I’m talking a load of waffle. Thanks
  7. Yes I do remember it’s currently soaking in white spirit it’s been in for about 30 minutes so I’ll take it out in another 30. I’ve bought a spare cap off eBay just in case for a spare as well for £6 which wasn’t bad
  8. okay that's good to know I'll get a small stock of them and i'll clean out that breather cap with white spirit as well. Thank you
  9. I think the first thing might be the problem, there’s no fibre washer and it’s a normal nut not a nyloc nut. I’ll get these done as soon as I can. I think I’ll bug a new one just to be safe I’ve seen a couple on eBay and it would be good to keep a spare anyway. If that doesn’t work I’ll try the second option
  10. The plates were on the outside of the rocker cover they don’t look original to the rocker cover it just looks like 2 steel rectangles that were under the nuts but on the outside of the rocker cover there wasn’t anything inside it. As for the breather cap, I didn’t know if they got older they can start letting out too much oil
  11. Hi Pete, my rocker cover is there but it's got like a layer missing from it, I'm not sure if it's paint but it's the same colour, I think it's leaking from somewhere I took it off and checked the gasket and it seemed fine since I just replaced it a few months ago. it did however when I bought the herald have 2 metal plates where the nuts were to secure it on which struck me as slightly odd. I'm not sure if it is leaking through the breather cap or not but would like to see if I can replace them both soon just to eliminate the problem. I'll have a surf around eBay to see if i can find any. thanks Pete Jack
  12. Hi everyone. I'm on the look out for a herald 1200 rocker cover in good condition and a new breather cap. I have tried looking on some of the parts websites and I can only find them on rimmers and Canley classics but they're out of stock on Canley. If anyone could give me a pointer on where else to look for a rocker cover and breather cap or if anyone has them for sale it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know. Thank you 🙂
  13. that is a fair point and i dont plan on selling it any time soon, i might drill a hole in the back for one i dont see me taking it out anytime in the future so it is definitely an option, i'm considering one of the windscreen ones but i think i will most likely drill a hole in the back
  14. I think i might get one fitted to the back if i cant fit it in the hole in the front, i don't know whether to drill holes in the back though thats the only thing
  15. Is that one very big? The depth on the front aerial hole isn’t very deep on my herald
  16. I’d rather get one that out of the car, I don’t really know much to do about electrics and a company near me is going to be fitting a radio, Ariel and speakers for me, if it’s possible if it would fit I’d rather get one to fit there instead of in the windscreen rubber. I’ll put a picture since there’s already a. Hole drilled into it with a rubber bung
  17. Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend me an automatic aerial for a radio, it's to fit a Herald 1200 convertible. Thank you 🙂
  18. Once I’ve finished the cad drawing I’ll post it on one of the forums, I’ll let you know when I do, I’m a bit of a novice at cad so I’m trying to figure out how to do the corners properly lol
  19. Thank you I didn’t realise how big the squares were on the paper but the size of those will help a lot because I can just count and add them up now, thank you for doing this for me it’s very much appreciated :)
  20. That is brilliant thank you very much, the back side I’m not too worried about since the person making it has templates so they just cutout what they need which is helpful but I will get on with making that in cad today or tomorrow. Thank you very much if it’s not too much would you be able to add the dimensions of the holes and the glove box for me please?
  21. Thank you that’s great, it’s no rush I’m saving up for it At the minute M, so itll be a couple of months before I buy it, hopefully it’ll be useful to the other members of club triumph, if it isn’t too much trouble would you mind getting the dial placements and glove box as well please 🙂
  22. Hi, thank you for offering, mine currently has a 13/60 dash installed, if it’s not too much trouble would you mind sketching up the dimensions for me? I’m looking to have a custom dashboard made and I am going to try and make it on some cad software. Thank you!
  23. Hi there, I'm looking for the dimensions or preferably an engineering drawing with the specifications on it. If anyone could help with this or tell me the dimensions that would be great. Thank you!
  24. I wish everyone the best for the new year, hope everyone has a good one! 🎉
