  1. Advice required, i'm after advice from people who have put the 6 cylinder engine in a Spitfire, think i have all the mods that need to be done, turrets, springs dampers, GT6 Brakes (Already fitted) which engine / gearbox did you use, diff prop. Does the gt6 radiator mount fit onto the spitfire chassis. I have a good GT6 Bonnet so .............. Thanks in advance
  2. Hi. Why dont you drop the original dizzy back in make sure starts now, and then start from the begining. At least you will know nothing you have done while fixing wiring.
  3. Thanks, just had question over quality, that seems to be answered, they are supposed to be quite a bit lighter which would help the stress on the crank etc. All will be lightened and balanced also. Ported cylinder head 10:1 CR TH5 Cam and twin 40 DCOE.
  4. Hi i have a spare 1500 engine that i am looking to rebuild over the winter. I have already collected quite a few parts to put into it. Have already got a modified engine presently in my Spitfire. Has anyone have experience of using "Maxpeeding" steel rods, have seem advertised. Seem a bit cheap to be true. Although some good reviews. Any advice appreciated.
  5. Hi Thank you, i do drive it although must admit fair weather driver, my days of getting soaking wet on motorbikes etc are over !!
  6. Hi Thank you for letting me join this group. I have had my Spitfire for about 3&1/2 years now. 2 of those was doing a nut and bolt rebuild.
