  1. [size=14]It is true about aluminium conducting heat. What I have done is to use a thick fibre space of a Metro I believe to insulate the carb from the manifold. In fact I have both the heat shield and the thick fibre space on my 2.5 and it seems to work. Martin

  3. Not sure if this help but I have Cv's on my Spitfire with Shock absorber brackets and I always has Shock absorber "bottoming out " issues.
    Mark at Jigsaw provided some very short Shockers by GAS. I think there compressed length was 8.25 inches. I can't check as I am on holiday at the moment. They work very well and even the wife noticed the improved ride.

    That is good news can you put me down for a place. I enjoyed the past couple of year and I'll look forward to Novemeber. Perhaps Chris you can give me that driving instruction this time without my car breaking down on circuit!

    So Spitfire 2.5 litre will be back again
