    Hi i took the risk that my diff was going to be ok and it leaks quite badly. It was also an unknown ratio as the original GB was non-overdrive. Where is the best place to get a refurbished diff for my OD box? thanks Jim

    Hi. Quick question. My Mk1 is finally on the road. I got an OD gearbox installed. We’re still shaking it down and we’ve found the OD slips out at times. It’s a bit like kickdown and happens mostly when you hit a hill and put some power on. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jim

    Hi Rob That looks very similar.  No signs of any black paint on it, it's all just very tarnished metal.  Thanks for the photos and help.   Jim

    Hi All.  After a little bit of your help again please.  Just cleaned up my GT6 Mk1 grill and can't tell what colour it was originally.  Was it just plain metal (I assume it's aluminium) or was it painted?     Thanks for your help. Jim

    Hi All apologies, I raised the question and then disappeared. I thought I’d get notified of replies, but didn’t. Thanks for all the advice.  I still plan to fit a square DR3 type motor which will be converted to 2 speed.  What’s the difference between the DR3 and the DR3A?  Thanks again. Jim

    Hi I need to replace (it doesn't have one) my wiper motor on my GT6 Mk1.  The part no. is GXE7714.  I can get one of those, but would like to replace with a 2 speed motor.   What are the options and where can I get one?  Lots look the same, I'm just not sure which one is compatible.   Thanks Jim
