Thank you very much !!! I read these notes many times, but overlooked this. I´m sure it was not mounted on my doors. Had some pics from the doors "before dismantling" and there was nothing.
Thanks again.

Completing the door worked quite nicely.
However, if I wind up the window glass fully, it protrudes the gutter.
Is there a kind of stop?
Cheers

Hi all,
the doors have to be reassembled after they were dismantled years ago.
There is a nice guide (body notes) how to do this.
But, your experiences, is it better to reassemble the door on a workbench or having the door mounted to the car?

Hi,
I´m filling the engine bay of my Vitesse restoration project (o.k. a conversion of a Herald Estate towards 2 ltr drive train). There is only room for the standard blade fan on the crank OR an electric fan. In all my other cars (GT6 MK2 and Spit 1500) I have both and I´m very happy with that.
What are your observations / experiences. What makes sense for a car that will be used for holiday tours, from time to time to commute to work , …...
Cheers ans Seasons greetings

p.s. I tried to use the search function , but … :(

Single Jag springs happy to rev above 6000 in the GT6 😀
Did someone try the Chris Witxxx double springs he offers for the TR5 type engine?

I use Gates hoses labelled "Multifuel".
No issues the last years.

Hi Dave,
unintentionally I did so.
As I had not enought hands, I took a M3 screw, pressed it in the hole and fixed it with a cable tie.

success, heat until the knob got soft. Then levered wirth a screwdriver at the base of the knob. There are now some marks, but who knows that.
I think some spare should be obtained, just in case.

..... break and buy a second hand one in Stoneleigh

The T-knob from the Herald 13/60 light switch resists being removed. Yes the little hole with the push button found.
Is there a trick?

Hi,
after reskinning the doors of the Herald, I have to weld them together where outer skin and inner part are coming together beneath the 1/4 light. I measured the old doors before grinding away the skin. LH door had 21 mm at the front, 26mm behind the 1/4 light and 20mm at the end. RH door had 22 mm at the front, 22mm behind the 1/4 light and 19mm at the rear.
So a bunch of figures.
Does someone have some doors where the windows are working well and could measure the distance?
Cheers

Hi,
want to put the roof of my Estate on the car.
I bought a seal for between screen and roof. but I have in mind when I dismantled the car, it was a kind of soft compound seal. Now it is a T shaped seal.
Is that the right one for the Estate?
Happy New Year

just measured. 12 inch from the front outrigger is exactly between the front and centre outrigger.
As I have rotoflex setup, I took the rear measures (where the 3 way union is) from my GT6 as a reference.
Thanks

Hi all,
I have to make the brake pipes from scratch for my Herald / Vitesse Estate. The pipe from the 4 way union in the engine bay to the rear is splitted. Where is the connector placed? Perhaps roughly a measurement from the front outrigger as a reference.
Thanks
Martin
