Hi,
somehow there is now a Herald Estate in the garage ;) .
Restoration has to wait, however I wanted to remove seats and (scruffy) carpets.
I´m not able to fold the rear seats. What is my fault.

Hi Nick,
my original Manual says:
Bore in Block: 46,82 - 46,858 mm
Cam Journal: 46,741 - 46,745 mm
Clearance: 0,066 - 0,117 mm
For the inserting Spitfire MK3 bearings we bored exactly 50,00 mm.
Sad to hear the story from the block / line boring.
Cheers

Producer is the company Mattig ( www.mattig.de ) or direct link to the wheels http://www.mattig.de/content/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.browse&category_id=ab2b0e8bbec775d5a1f82ea8710f7d00&Itemid=1
These are the only ones with a TÜV certificate.
Into the wheel Weller and Mattig is pressed.
Quality is very good.

not on a Spitfire, but Mattig Sport Steel Wheels 5,5 x 13 Offfset 09mm on a GT6 MKII with 175 / 70 / 13

Hi,
agree to Nick, the currently sold rubber mountings are questionable quality.
Moss sells UKC8330 uprated ones. Happy with them for 2 years now.

Hi Casper,
thanks, does the base only move forward or does it fold?
There are two very rusty mountings below the seat base at the rear.
