battery is charged but car will only start from solenoid i have checked all connections to the starter motor . Would the problem be with the ignition switch and or solenoid, 1963 Herald convertable

my 63 Herald convertable needed a new starter motor which I have done - the engine starts ok but the engine surges and won't idle. I have checked all the leads but wonder if I may have knocked something when removing the old starter up passed the distributor. Help thanks Simon

Gerald - 1963 conv. is looking a bit tired. can anyone advise me what colour the rocker cover should be . it is presently silver. thanks Simon

I am trying to replace the bumpers on our 63 convertable - the original rubber ones were replaced with Vitesse - ones - I have removed those and have bought replacement rubber set with guides but I am experiencing difficulty in getting the rubbers on to the metal guides - especialy on the corners. Any ideas please thanks Simon :-/

Gerald our 63 Herald Convertable would like to have his bezels rechromed - any advice contact details would be welcome = they are only lightly pitted but we would hare for anything to happen to them
