  1. If that was the case wouldn't it put the rear at an angle or measure different heights?  Tried rolling each wheel onto a piece of board and the N/S rear caused the O/S front to dip further which none of the others did. would this be the effect of trunnion causing as you say, body twist?
  2. Hi, so have just joined the herd of spitfire owners having had landrovers most my life! Bought this one off a good friend who had redone the interior and body work is in pretty fine fettle. Having issues with the front suspension!! Noticed it was low on drivers side front wheel, rear was level. Looking into it found it was wearing against the underside of the arch when slightly compressed and catching the rim when steering. Trawled through the forums and decided front shocks/springs were the solution. Replaced with uprated spring and standard shock. (I'm not wanting performance just to even out to enjoy summer drives) Fitted those and overhauled lower wishbone bushes while on as they needed doing however the problem is still there! It's less "hitty" now than before but there is still a 1 1/4" difference between passenger and driver. Both rears measure 22".  Have removed anti roll to check that wasn't twisted and have jacked rear/front up to see what levelled things out best to no result. Any suggestions would be welcome that don't involve Koni shocks!
